I think the perfect tool would have been a function like TvC's Mega Crash but have it based around Megazord stocks. That way you sacrifice being able to trigger the Megazord for later but you don't have to eat a ToD. Meanwhile the opponent can try to play around burst baiting, leading to resets or giving up potential damage for cashing out a combo before burst.
I actually like the neutral in this game when compared to a game like DBFZ, it's just it goes back to neutral so infrequently due to the low ceiling required to set up a ToD.

I've never watched this game, but seeing Ryu and Chunli along PowerRangers (and the fact the rangers have their human names, not like "Red ranger" or something) in the title made me reel (in a good way). I haven't watched the video yet, but I'm sure this'll be great.
