    I enjoyed this entire video!!! Good job!! ❤🎉
    15:08 was a good powerful D5. I wonder was the hoarseness intended, due to a cold, or her ceiling? It sounds like after D5 she may need to switch to head voice.

    I know she can sing even higher, or at least sing with less strain with her vocal range which I think is already good for a performer.
    Her main issue is mainly her placement being messy. She can sing with a clear voice and then suddenly goes throaty on the next phrases. She seems to have a good ability on her high notes but I noticed that when she starts losing support on the middle and lower notes, then her higher notes later on the song is also impacted.
    The "n" consonant has a great effect on balancing her voice. The "Nono-no-nooo" in "You don't love me, no" and "neeeed" with vibrato in If it's Loving That You Need performance in this video
    The "divergent" release from ooo to ahh helps with belting. "Wwwhoaahoyeaah" in the climax of Diamonds and The D5 "Watch" in Love the Way you Lie
    Her ease in changing and shifting from chest to head voice and back and her dynamics in her comfortable range tells that she has good control over her voice. Shes better off singing on her comfortable range and shifting to head voice on higher notes but her voice has a lot of potential ever since she debutted.
    With her heavier voice now but stil able to sing her songs, I can tell shes still working on her voice and I'll look forward to her new songs if there would be any!

      She also damaged her vocal chords due to excessive drinking and smoking, sadly. Her voice sounds amazing though, she just doesn’t have as much range.

    Nowadays everybody who does annoying riffs-runs-melismas all the time and screaming-shouting all the notes are counted as good singers. Without any real individuality, originality or charisma (So Hyang and other boring, soulless, worthless antiartists). Rihanna may struggle with some notes but she is one of a kind and sings every note on a purpose. She is a singing artist and also a visual performer

Her mid range is where she’s strongest (A4- D5) and her head voice goes up to C6. Towards the Sun is a good example of how she shines in her mixed voice also. She could never be a alto or the lowest voice type. Also I wouldn’t say she’s a mezzo because her voice doesn’t hold the weight or volume like Christina Aguilera / Beyoncé/ Whitney Houston

      @@jamalroberson9358 Rihanna's voice is darker and heavier than Beyonce's who is a lyric mezzo though not as heavy as Christina or Whitney. and her lows are consistent with the lows of a mezzo voice. mezzos are supposed to be strongest in their mid-range but unfortunately Riri might need some coaching in that range because she kinda struggles. hitting a high note in head voice is not a good indicator of voice type. A lot of males and contraltos can hit a soprano high C in head voice. tessitura is a very important indicator of voice type and Rihanna cannot handle music written for a soprano voice.

      She is nowhere close to being a alto let’s be real here. Her tessitura is so high, her low notes are always done with low larynx otherwise they won’t even be heard. Nothing in her voice screams mezzo or alto.

    • @joaovictorbarbosa2124
      @joaovictorbarbosa2124 Рік тому +4

      @@vocalsbycyrus Rihanna has a voice that is called "Contralto Coloratura", where despite being naturally low, it is smooth and light, which results in a natural facility for highs. That's why she is often confused with Mezzos, especially at the time before 2010, where she had a very nasal and immature voice, but after "diamonds" her voice gained body and matured, showing the true essence of an alto. She is not even close to being a Soprano, like Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson and Mariah Carey, and about the mezzos, you can only see the difference in Rihanna and Adele's voice, both beautiful voices, but of course rihanna has a lower pitch (I'm talking after her voice has matured).
