Country Joe McDonald - Coulene Anne (solo live 1972)

American singer/songwriter Country Joe McDonald hasn't been given the recognition he should when discussing early Seventies groundbreaking solo artists. His legendary performance of the Fish Cheer (immortalised on film at Woodstock in 1969) eclipsed that of his pyschedelic band. Something of a firebrand, Country Joe McDonald confounded critics and fans alike as often as he knocked them sideways with his songs and solo performances, such as this version of Couleen Anne (Housewife's Blues) here on live TV in 1972.
