- Wow, such a super amazing tour! I had a lot of fun riding my Continental GT650 from Mumbai to Nagpur via Pune & Sambhaji Nagar. This bike is too agile at the corners, promising at high speeds & decently comfortable for long tours. Since it's a heavy bike, it takes some time to adapt with its ride dynamics. I spent 6 months with it before going to this long tour. Total 2000+ Kms completed during my Nagpur-Pune-Mumbai-Sambhaji Nagar-Nagpur round Solo trip. Handling this machine was surprisingly awesome. Its acceleration too has amazed me and kept me entertained throughout.

ALSO, now that I have practiced it well,handling this bike has become easier at speeds like 120 & 140. I can’t keep it at 140 for long enough due to bad roads though, however it’s fun to ride at higher speeds & I’am surprised how easy it has become for me due to this road trip. It’s acceleration & quick response is the most amazing thing by this 650 cc twin cylinder machine. Despite the long distance and aggressive ride posture, I didn’t have much complaint for the comfort in this motorcycle.

Bro I'm confused. Can gt650 be used for long tour rides? Because I've heard that the sitting position is kinda sportier and it hand starts to hurt. do you feel any pain in your back or pain in your hand after riding it for hours?
Well, I did 2000 kms trip and I didn’t feel back pain. From Nagpur to Pune, I had a small backpack which was too stuffed. In Pune, I bought a rucksack / bigger travel backpack. And it became easier to ride fast after that. Pune to Mumbai & Mumbai to Nagpur became easier after that. Now backpain is slightly impossible.
The pain that you may encounter with GT650 in long tour is, shoulder pain due to bag’s weight. If you can plan to settle your bag on tank or rear seat, then you may feel slightly relieved. But altogether, GT650 can’t be blamed for discomfort of long tour. I loved riding it for 2k kms and I’am dying to do this again with it. ❤️❤️❤️
