I'll be copying this when I get my shed. Thanks Jon!
@Blade Mate Lawn Care awesome glad I could help. Let me know if you have any questions when you do build it
I was about to say that.
Thank you so much for posting
Great job Jon. I like seeing all the guys out there coming up with different storage solutions. And you know we can NEVER have enough storage!! Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!! #broinlawns!!
@Money Making Mike G you know it for sure. Gotta be organized to stay productive
very sturdy Jon. Nice and easy way to get stuff off the ground
Like it Jon! Nicely done...like an old school gun rack for the trimmers, etc.😁👍💪👊. Gonna have make a similar one for my shed/shop. May use a circular saw for the cut out after drilling👍💪
A circular saw sure would be nice to have. I've got to get my hands on one before the next project I do
Very nice , I like the design. My stuff is vertical and takes up room. This looks good and you did a good job. 👍
@MemphisMower thank you very much. It's definitely nice to have all my stuff off the floor and still have plenty of wall room left. Only thing I did wrong was buying split wood and didn't consider mounting when making lol
Super nice!!
@Tony's Lawn Care thanks brother
Use plywood strips!
Nice man.... 👍💯
Cool. Very handy rack to have. .
Thanks brother, it definitely is
That's a good idea using the shop vac for the shaving's. Oh that sucks the wood splitting. Man that looks really good. Nice job and great video brother.
@Wild Bill's Adventures man I wish I realized it was split 🤦♂️
@@JonsDailyHustle I know trust me I even bought split wood and didn't realize until I started working with it bud. It turned really good though.
@@wildbillslawncare5901 thanks brother 🙌
@@JonsDailyHustle You are welcome brother.
I will making mine to attach to the wall using a French cleat system and multiple attachment points.
@Larry Ginn that's awesome it should hold up well for you. I have put alot of weight on mine this past year and it seems to hold up nice. Thinking about making one for my trailer when I get an enclosed trailer
looks great Jon. I like using the harbor freight v-shape hang all hooks. they work great for trimmers and can hold multiple hand tools. ive got like 3-4 square shovels on one right now. great thing is they are like $2 each so some of them and a box of screws would be as much or less than one board. not hating on your idea, but lumber is very expensive right now. i made a video about them a few years ago
@Hazardra Lawn Care oh that's fine go ahead and hate....🤣🤣 Jk it's all good brother, voice your opinion. I'm always open to ideas. I was using thos hooks but don't quite like them for me, and wanted to be a little creative and maybe stand out a bit in my garage 🤷♂️...kinda lol. Wood definitely is pretty expensive now depending on what you get and where. At the time of making this video (originally back in may-ish) I spent less than 10$ total to make 🤷♂️. You could probably do it for cheap still if you source the wood right maybe 🤔🤷♂️. But your method is definitely way faster lol
@@JonsDailyHustle for that price you couldnt beat it for sure then
I’m bout to make one today ! Bet
@D's Lawn & Landscape awesome let me know how it goes. It's not expensive at all, just make sure you don't buy split wood like me 🤦♂️🤣
@@JonsDailyHustle haha I’m cleaning up shop tonight I have a bunch of scraps
That’s how you Hustle. Make me one. LOL
@OFFSETT 🤣 I'll put you on my order list
Thanks for watching brother
I would use a circular saw instead of a saber saw
I agree. I did end up buying one in the middle of making this video, however I was just trying to use whatever I currently had. The right tools for the right job definitely help lol
That's a great idea. I might be stealing your idea for the new garage once we move. You could of used a circular saw too make the straight cuts. Great video Jon!
@MBG Adventures that's awesome, I hope you do a better job than I do with making it 🤦♂️🤣. Yea a circular saw would've worked way better and faster. I didn't have one and wanted a jog saw first. If I build this again, I will definitely get one for it
@@JonsDailyHustle Ya, once we move I want to get set up with battery power tools. Always wanted a circular, jig and chop saw all battery powered cordless. I have all them in corded but in situations when you can plug it in, battery all the way!
@@MBGAdventures yea that would be really nice. That's a long term goal for myself as well. A chip saw is high on my list of things to get for sure
Could use circular or jig saw for straight cuts. But great vid for diy on a budget.
@E Train thanks, yea I was on a budget with it. Since then I have bought a circular saw, so for the next ones it'll be way better or at least faster lol. Thanks for watching
Distance between holes, center to center?
Watching
Excellent let me know if you have any questions on how to make it
@@JonsDailyHustle you made it look simple , I might have to get a stud finder so I can find where to bolt it into
Hahah they have apps for stud finding .
I’m going to try this soon
@@4x4meetsandshows I tried one of those apps but it didn't work that great for me, you might have better luck tho of course 🤷♂️. This actually is pretty easy to make, just have to picture what your building
How far apart the holes center to center?
I did about 4-5" inches. I wouldn't go much less than that if your going to put heavier objects on them like weed eaters and such.
You could have just used a large speed square to get the same angle for each cut.
I didn't have one back 2 years ago and I also didn't care that much. This was a spare of the moment build and didn't need to be build perfectly, it works just the same
I would have used a circular saw to make most of the cut and finished it off with a jigsaw or even a hand saw.
I used what I had available at the time of me recording this 🤷♂️
Thanks for all the tips. Can you believe some people are paying over $100 for these of Etsy instead of making themselves? Lol
@Ashley Fowler your welcome I hope I helped. I know it drives me crazy, I think it costed me like 10-15$ and that's with mounting hard wear, I wasn't gonna pay more than that. Plus I've got so much more storage available as I have empty slots compared to the ones that you would buy they don't have this many slots
Hi Boys 😍💋 💝💖♥️❤️
