    Thank you very much. Honestly I've been wanting to hang my weed eater up for a few years now. Just never put enough thought to it until now. Looks great. Mine will be hanging tonight. Thanks

      Thanks for watching, Walter. Mine is a Kombi, so I have different attachments. I made a holder for the attachments but I don't like it. When I come up with a good design, I'll post it too.

    I am new at this and I really wanted to see how you did the cuts. That's where the skill is.

    • @dwcoffey
      @dwcoffey  3 роки тому

      Thank you and thanks for watching! How you make the cuts will depend greatly on what tools you have. I made all my straight cuts on a 12" miter saw and made the cutout for the string trimmer with a powered scroll saw. I think the straight and mitered pieces might be too small to safely cut with a circular saw, so I'd recommend either a tablesaw, miter saw or a band saw. Either a band saw, scroll saw, jig saw or a coping saw could be used for the circular cutout that holds the trimmer. To your point, maybe I should do an overview video like this and then do a more detailed video for folks that want to see the specific details.....Thanks again, Kent, I appreciate your support.

    I wish I can see the bottom part of the tool. How does it hang near/far from the wall.

    • @dwcoffey
      @dwcoffey  4 роки тому

      Thanks for watching, Rob! It depends on what I attachment I have on it. The string trimmer and brush cutter attachments will not touch the wall. The edger attachment will. You could avoid this by adding a couple of inches to the depth of the cut-out piece or add a small piece at the bottom to hold the shaft out away from the wall. I may build another one showing that as an option and put up a video.

    Thanks so much for your videos. I bought a cheap greese gun from Amazon and greese is not going through my zerks on a lth 1738 mower. The mower has been through one season and never been greesed.
    Does that sound like a bad greese gun? Greese goes out the sides, not into the zerk, even when I take the zerk off the mower

    • @dwcoffey
      @dwcoffey  4 роки тому

      Thank you Taylor! It sounds like the coupling on the grease gun may not be put together correctly from the factory or it is just too tight. It may not be snapping completely onto the zerk fitting. Some of them, especially when new, require a lot of force to get them to snap on properly. If yours is fully seating on the zerk, it's probably not put together correctly inside the coupler. I'd be tempted to replace it and/or the hose and coupler before I replaced the whole gun (depending on the cost of each option). I hope that helps...let me know if I can help.

    When storing it like that,Should you empty the petrol out???

    • @dwcoffey
      @dwcoffey  3 роки тому

      Thanks for watching! I don't and have no problems. If I store mine for a long time, I run all the gas out of it so that it is stored dry. That keeps the carburetor from getting gummed up.

    Never hang a Timber because it will pull apart over time

      Thanks for watching! This is exactly how Stihl recommends storing brush cutters, string trimmers and edgers. www.stihl.com.au/the-correct-way-to-store-brushcutters.aspx

      Timber hangers can last for centuries if well constructed. There are tables, cabinets, staircases, doors, roofs that are all made out of wood that are hundreds of years old.
      I suspect a well made hanger will outlast the trimmer.
