Its good to see young lads working with fathers. I think the first thing made was a water catch basin, like a concrete canal surrounding the perimeter of the bunker, just below the lowest ground level.
Drainage for the canal water could be directed down by gravity to a much lower level sewerage system, or through small motor pumping station and the water channeled to sewerage drainage system of the building.
Accidental flooding to the small bunker hence could be avoided at any time.

People be careful make sure you put a little thought into your process you might have to dig yourself out if your bunker depending on the type of disaster and the construction of your bunker

Below grade is never were you put electronics bunker. That will flood when firefighters put out a fire with big hoses.

You need 2’ of concrete on top to stop 100% of radiation from coming in but this is better then nothing.

Two feet of concrete stops a factor of 1000; not quite 100% but close. This means if a stem or the center of the mushroom cloud settles where you are (1000 rads per hour) you’ll only take 1 rad per hour.

(This is why two feet is more than a thousand, it’s more than ten times two inches….two inches isn’t quite exact so two feet is roughly 1000. 2 to the power of 10 is 1024….so ten halvings is 1024x down.

You are relying on those beams not deflecting at all, all you need to do is fill that space with vertical 4x4’s and then you’d get none.
