makeup : 1. wash face with gentle cleanser and apply moisturizer suitable for your skin type. allow to absorb for a few mins 2. apply small amount of primer all over the face 3. apply foundation evenly using your makeup brush, sponge or fingertips 4. apply concealer under the eyes that matches your skin tone or slightly lighter to cover dark circles or any blemishes 5. set foundation and concealer with a translucent setting powder . using a fluffly brush, apply a light dusting all over the facel. focusing on areas that tend to get oily 6. fill the eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil, powder or gel. choose a shade that matches your natural hair colour and fill in any sparse areas with light, subtle strokes 7. apply eyeshadow in shades that complement your eye color and desired look. start with a base colour on the lid, add a slightly darker shade in the crease for depth and use a lighter shade on the brow bone for a highlight. 8. finish with eyeliner and mascara to define the eyes 9. apply blush to the apples of your cheeks for a natural flush 10. use bronzer to add warmth and definition to your face by applying it to the hollows of your cheeks, temples and jawline 11. choose a lip colour and appy it to your lips
A personal tip I’d like to share; try to avoid lip picking. I say this because this is something I struggle with, I’ve been picking my lips ever since I was a little girl, I don’t know the reason why I do this, but it’s become a hard habit to break. Picking your lips causes damage to it’s skin and can leave some scar tissue, which doesn’t look pretty. I’ve been working on breaking this habit, I realized that I do it subconsciously so I’m becoming more self aware and stop myself from doing it when I realize when I have the urge to pick my lip. It hasn’t been easy- but I’ve been doing my best, I apply lip oil at night to heal areas where I’ve torn some skin, and it works wonders! Also I love your videos Obakie! I started watching them recently and I have fun learning about skin care, taking care of yourself, and all other helpful tips that make me want to feel girly and have a spa day! Keep up the great work! ✨💖💖🌸🌸
For the skincare routine: It's not healthy to exfoliate your face too much, twice a day can ruin your skin. And a simple skincare routine containing cleanser, moisturizer, spf daily is enough, you can do more, just not more often than twice a week- this is all what I know, but yes everyone's skin is different, if I am wrong please correct me.
skincare: never exfoliate more than twice a week. exfoliating takes off the dead skin cells and if you do it when you have broken skin barrier or sensitive skin, you will hurt your skin. only exfoliating twice a week (example: exfoliating sunday then exfoliating again on wednesday) can give you a healthy glow. Other than exfoliating, wash your face with a facial cleanser (after washing your hands so they are clean) in circular motions for at least 30 seconds and rinse ALL of the cleanser off. After washing your face take 2 cotton pads and apply toner to the pads. use one pad to clean your cheeks and forehead, then use the other cotton pad to clean your more oily areas, such as your nose and chin. Toner acts as a way to clean what your cleanser didn’t. After toner, i would use my oil and water based serums and apply them onto my fingertips instead of directly my face to avoid getting bacteria inside the serum. Tap the serum onto your face and let it settle in for a bit. After serum i would do my moisturizer, make sure to rub it in with upwards motions and not over moisturizing (especially during the summer where you are more prone to be oily) if it’s the morning, put a spf 30 or higher sunscreen and use at least 2 fingers worth of it. Anything below spf 30 or 2 fingers isn’t protecting you from the sun. Stay safe
More tips: try to avoid physical exfoliator because its only ruining the protecting skin layer, use a chemical exfoliator that doesnt contain heavy chemicals. If you have dry skin you can wash your face once a day in the evening. When learning how to properly wash your hair watch youtube videos for your hair type. If you get a sunburn drink lots of water always make sure your skin is moisturized , use aloe vera gel. Dont buy pore minimizing, pore hidding primer because it only cloges your pores(learned the hard way).
thank you so much for these tips! espicially for the lips tips ,my lips were so dry and in such bad condition it was also really disturbing because they peeled regularly (sorry for my bad english btw) so thank you very much!
Honestly I don't normally do this.. but back like a couple of months ago i wasn't really interested in like beauty stuff, (makeup, skin care, different types of clothing styles and etc.), when I was younger I used to ask myself "why do girls/women use make up? But now I guess I'm just self-conscious of my looks, since people can be rude and mean at times. So i guess I'm finally growing up, and embracing to care for myself. I've been doing alot better at skincare, i used to be covered in scratch marks on my face or scarred dots were pimples used to be, and i guess thank you for making these videos. I've been accepting myself & my body thanks to your videos. I'm lucky to have found your videos!❤🩹
Amazing video !! I love how u explained everything to the tiniest details and the editing was also awsome, i liked & im already a subscriber! Can u make any videos about clothing or stylizing ur clothes? That would be really helpful (just like this vid!)
I would like to add on that for haircare, how often you wash you hair and the way you style it depends on your hair type and texture, lifestyle as well as climate. So, do your research for your hair type and texture and watch creators who have similar looks to your hair and try and include parts of their routine into yours. Also, for the makeup, she showed a tutorial most suitable for east asian features, so it may not look good on everyone. However, again, you can watch creators with your skin tone and skin type. For my brown girls, I highly recommend makeup by monica, her videos show how us darker skinned girls can achieve the light warm/cool toned makeup looks like the one in the video, but without looking ashy.
Hii there! I'm 14 years old. We shifted to a new place in March 2023. Since then I have been noticing extreme hairfall issues. My hairs were thick, silky, naturally straight, and I never experienced such hair fall issues. They have now started getting thin and frizzy. My parents ask me to come home from school by walk(it takes over 15 minutes) because they want me to be "strong". They don't allow me to wear sunscreen because they think only adults can wear it. When I try to tell them about the harmful effects of UV rays, they say that I'm mad and nothing such would happen. I'm really worried about my appearance and idk what to do! PLZ HELP!
If your hair falls, it may have something to do with the now environment…? I advice you to wash your hair every 2-3 days and use conditioner and hair oils if possible. I know it’s hard to get parents to change their minds. Sunscreen is pretty important but see if they will allow you to buy moisturizer ( or makeup if you wear any) that has SPF?? If not then try to wear moisturizer outside and use aloe vera afterwards as a mask so the sun doesn’t do much damage.
heyy! so about the hair problem try intaking more protein in your diet it helps alot and the water in ur new place might be the root of the problem.. about the spf try wearing a moisturizer with spf.. also try
@@miyamura659 heyy ! You're ryt ! The area I live in has hard water with TDS of 800. I have been using filtered RO water to wash my hairs. I also got them trimmed and I can see the hairfall issue fading away but my hairs are getting frizzy

Hii if you need a cheap but good skin care routine i been useing all year 1.wash ur hands first 2.wear a head band or hair clibs to keep ur hair out of ur face 3.jade roller or ice cube. 4. Cerave daily moisturizing lotion 5.elf cream 5. Black girl sunscreen 6. Chapstick for dry lips . Hope this helps remember ur beautiful
A little life hack from me if ur concealer/foundation looks patchy and dry on ur nose try putting first eyeshadow primer on ur nose and then put the concealer on top it would look flawless trust me one this one might sound weird but its a lifehack!
I think what the girl use in her makeup was highlighter and not a bronzer (as it was indicated in the video). I really like the information, pretty good and neccesary
DO NOT USE A WIDE TOOTH COMB it does not detangle hair as well and is a lot harder than a normal brush. I recommend the Wet Brush brand. They are reasonably priced, detangle and brush hair very well, and you can use the for years after. Also you should start at the bottom when detangling. It minimizes damage
Hey obakie!! Can you please do some tips for braces.. I will be getting braces after some days so it would be solo helpful🙏 I also love your videos❤💓❤❤❤💓
Not sure if anyone can answer this, but I'm having trouble finding a video that includes tips or routine including people who have to use doctor prescribed medications/creams for eczema/acne. I heard you have to apply your creams/moisturizer/retinol etc. in a certain order to avoid irritation or skin problems. All in all, I'm wondering how to fit in the medication so it does it's job but doesn't effect the other things I put on my face.
