Heya i've been restarting a new playthrough with some friends and I've been wondering if there is some sort of trick to shiny hunting. There is almost nothing on this so I wanted to know from an experienced person's view. Is there any? And if not can I atleast single out a target for hunting?
i dont know why it looks different to be honest and it's not said whether it is or isn't a regional form. it might be because the concept was leaked before scarlet and violet came out or because the pokedex picture was leaked and they just quickly tried to remake it for the 5th update. or they just didn't like the design and made a different one

for ralts from what I remember the only option is to breed for it at least that's what I did and you can get kirlia in the altered mt zodiac specifically in the place that snows. For sprigatito its very rare and can only be found in the xenoverse in ponte zona the place that is the college but destroyed. For ceruledge you can defeat the charcadets in ponte zona and hope to get the malicious armor, but at night time if you talk to a karate guy in sakura paradise towards the top right where there are kimonos he will let you know that you can find the malicious armor in westar city inside the tower with graves that is towards the left and if you go in the tower and go up the stairs its in the top right. Hope this helped!

In the post game, the two that you didn't pick have their unique locations and a boss fight. Shyleon can be found in Shyleon Temple Trishout can be found in the volcano And Shlong can be found in Aurora Den.
you can get rowlet in the heroes path which is a building in the cluster jungle and you have to go towards the right its a 1% encounter rate. Hope this helps!
