In the middle of my wash day right now. I am currently under my soft bonnet deep conditioning.

I want to try Treluxe eventually. I dislike that Camille Rose Curl Love Moisture Milk because it dries out my hair. The leave-in from the Coconut water leave-in is much better for me.
I don't do wash n go's. I only wear twists. Products that make my twists shrink dramatically in this Florida humidity are the Camille Rose Curlaide moisture butter and Aloe Whip butter gel
Curls Dynasty Kalahari Smoothie leave-in and Twisted Definition.
Next i will use Kinky Tresses. All of this don't have glycerin.

The curl love milk makes my hair dry also. I just tried the curlaide butter and the curl maker gel and my hair shrank to the max.
I think aloe is a strong humectant on my hair

I’m your ride or die for sure, thanks for teaching about avoiding glycerin gels in the summer. So far I’m loving naturalle all club flaxseed and their avocado gel bothers have glycerin but it’s not in t he top five I believe:). I live in Southern California my wash N go will last about 7days but in the summer I’ll cowash or lightly wet my hair around day 4/5 and go another 4 days and preppoo, clarify, and deep condition day 8 or 10. While in the shower still put in leave in and then gel and doing this has made my wash day so much easier and faster and my curls come out better the letting it dry then wetting again for the styling. Plus ☝️ more thing Ill shake my hair then use an a aqui towel to get dressed even drive to work. Take it off shake it and it’s been doing well

Great wash-n-go! A few years ago when I first discovered the WetLine Xtreme gel, I LOVED IT! I swore it did not contain Glycerin but I recently bought a bottle (not the tub) and when my wash-n-go started looking and feeling "different" from what I recall, I checked the ingredients Glycerin was in the first 5 ingredients! Did I miss an ingredient change or simply miss it was always there?
I workout 4-5 times a week and wearing a high puff and a headband gets me through a full week wash-n-go, twistout or coilout without a problem, looks better and better as the week progresses. Agree 100% staying healthy is far more important than keeping a cute hairstyle. We make it work.

That is a great wash and go. Defined and shapely. I managed to get the Giovanni Gel. I will be using it next week. I know it is hot and humid in FL, but this summer in the mid atlantic and northeast has been insane, with temps in the 90's and dew points in the 70's. All of my non-glycerin gels are in the for-front. Thanks for sharing.

I already knew this before moving as I frequently visited family here but I feel like I have been force to where protective styles (which I hate) because of it. Love that you have suggestion of what works for you in this overly moist climate. And your right it rains EVERYDAY. Lol really wanting to try this gel with some camille rose underneath. Super excited now

What do you do with your hair when you sleep and how do you revitalize it in the morning? I usually tie it back with a scarf but then in the morning it’s all squished and when I spray it with leave in or water it makes my wash and go frizzier 😫

Hey girl so I tried the jessicurl spiralicious gel and I absolutely love it. It has a light consistency, not gel like at all. It gives good definition, has good slip and it held against humidity. It didn't shrink at all. I didnt try it when I rained though. Only con is the price.

Since the Camille Rose deep conditioner has glycerin in it and also coconut oil that can act like protein and I think I'm protein sensitive, I guess it's okay to use in humid months with the glycerin since you normally wash the deep conditioner out or rinse it out? And also the only thing you put between the gel and your hair is the leave in conditioner, no oils? Thanks, your hair looks pretty as usual.

    • @ALove4Me

      Help!!!
I applied aloe vera & water mix on my hair for a little over a month during this hair growth challenge. I've been really learning my hair.
I noticed towards the end of the month my hair started getting a stripped/dried out feeling...then during my next wash days my became so tangled/matted & frizzy..at this point I'm still using the aloe vera not knowing.
My moisturizing DC's were not working...Im losing more hair than usual. So I used a clarifying shampoo, then DC. I stayed away from applying aloe vera abt 2 weeks. Then decided to revisit it to see. After application my hair started getting harder to comb, so I sprayed Alikay lemongrass leave-in...immediately started getting that dried stripped feeling again. I looked at Alikay's ingredients....Aloe Vera is the second ingredient...ok that's the culprit. 😕
What did I do wrong? Did I over use it? How do I correct it? Trying to get my hair to feel better and stop falling out.
      Any suggestions would help.
      Thanks ☺
