You have taught me so much about taking care of natural hair and you should never doubt that you have a unique perspective that people will always be willing to listen to. You help people UNDERSTAND their hair, not just push product. I do think having a list somewhere (with affiliate links/codes, of course) of different products you like would still be super helpful, though!
Love your authenticity and your channel! Fully respect and in support of your decision to protect your boundaries with regards to facilitating free promo for brands outside of your favorites that have the means to compensate but choose not to. Needless to say - thanks for still sharing your favorite products/tips!
I take what people like you with a grain of salt. I understand that we probably don’t have the same type of hair so what works for you might not work for me. If it is inexpensive for me to try, I might. No channel is a perfect fit for everyone. That being said, I just found you today. I have liked the videos that I have seen so far. Thanks for your content.
So so soooo glad you guys stopped letting brands use y’all. And I know they feel it b/c I get tons of emails from a couple of them that only emailed me for Black Friday. I’ve also notice shelf space in stores decreasing. They will regret not supporting the creators who supported them. And I agree; they talk supporting Black when they need it, but they don’t give back & share. I noticed that a long time ago.
Yeah I haven’t been a fan of the celebrity sponsors from brands. The same brands who said they didn’t have money to pay black influencers. Also I agree products are better now so the desire to be a product junkie is reduced because my hair works with more products now. Good luck in this season of change!
I enjoy the niche you've carved out for yourself. And I totally appreciate your decided to stop enriching those who are being stingy with you. Also loving how you want your natural texture to show when you do a WnG instead of using products to change your curl pattern. I'm not a WnGstan at all, but if one's going to do it, letting the natural curl pattern show, just set with gel, is closest to the dreadlocks ethos I rocked for over 20 years. I get it. Kudos, and enjoy your hair!
I support you on why your making changes. Of course why would live free content that they use without compensation. You shouldn’t stop experimenting with your hair ( flat iron ) because they don’t like (it’s your channel ). Looking forward to your next video.
Absolutely! Growth & Change. Fully support you in changes. Thank you for all you have done & do regarding Hair & Heart & Mind (especially sharing about books) & Body & Emotions & Finance & Planning & Life so much substance in so many areas. Your thoughtfulness is appreciated. ❤
I think that this approach to your channel is nice. And i also think that it can be better for your hair in the long run, since your not always trying new things on your hair . I'm also try it to do the same with my hair are stash as well
Thanks for the transparency! Honestly I like your new content. It’s been thought provoking. I love my natural hair and don’t think enough people wear it out especially Africans so I try to represent but there’s only so many twist outs and wash n go videos a girl can make and that I can watch 😂
I don't blame you one bit!! Do what makes sense for you, your coins, your growth and your peace. Also, I too gave up on UFD Curly Magic. I used to mix it with Innersense just to make it work because a few years ago that is what my stylist said I had to do. She said my hair was too dense to do anything else. She was wrong. No one knows your hair the way that you do. All I use for a styler is Kinky Curly these days (mostly) and it works.
Love the take on the 'i want my hair to look natural' like YES! I am not trying to have it be anything but what it is... including frizz and the fun of volume that comes with it!!! The goal at the end of the day should be the health of your hair. Frizz happens and I think that just makes our hair look even more kinky/curly!!
I think you should do whatever makes you happy! Life is too short! I’m sorry about the brand incidents that is terrible. I have really enjoyed your channel over the years. It has helped me through some rough times. If you truly are not happy doing hair content don’t force it. It will show. Just do you in all aspects of your life! I’m all for growth and change. Let the chips fall as they may!
I'm here to stay. Thanks for sharing so much over the years. I no longer chase products either. I have actually reverted back to some of the OG products (e.g., SM manuka honey and SM JBCO lines). I don't fight my hair. I also use whatever I want. Good shampoo and conditioners are key. I might pick up some Oyin items and Miche for black Friday.
I love all your content. I love the fact that we are both in the same age range and I can relate with you better than these young urns. ❤ from Nigeria😘
Have you tried, Now I am Nappy Hibiscus Chebe Moisturizing Styler? It is a great one and done styler. I get at least 10 days' wear out of my twists. Now, I'm not sure how it does when using as a twist out product since I leave my hair in twists.
live your life and share what you want to share. But I would like to see more creators try indie brands. But I would feel bad if someone used my video w/o paying mee too.
I can't find an elasticity deep conditioner anymore. The moknowshairone and ouidad hair one are gone. Can you make a blog post of the elasticity deep conditioners or all deep conditioners that include elasticity treatments? Thank you
Ion really care that much for Uncle Funky. Maybe I'm using too much or I got a weird batch. Pattern is starting to grow on me and Adowa. I really like Adowa's deep conditioner. It's like 40 dollars but it' lasts pretty long.
Very happy for you 🎉, growth is a beautiful thing. One question, what exactly do you mean by 'curl primer', not any particular product. I didn't quite understand, Thanks.
I think of curl primers as products that help define the hair well, but typically don't have much hold.. i.e, humectant heavy gels, custards, and curl creams

I like what you said about you like for your hair to look natural when you style it and that's the reason why I love your wash n go style❤

You are really in your braided hair bag right now sis!
I really do love these waist length braids. Got me thinking of growing my hair... but we know me 😂
Hiii!! Omg was just thinking about you as I went on my lunch break; so glad to see you posted!!
Thanks for thinking of me!
Thank you for your staple products update!!!!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and journey🥰. Do you. .I like the Doux's Co-Wash too.
Thank you!

I get you. Also, I hesitate to give unflattering reviews while brands are still in the building stage, which makes it difficult to share
Hi if you could great a list on your blog. That would be great. Thank you

Achia, how do you use a curl primer? I adore you too! Thanks for your content.
I basically use it like I've used gel in the past. No worries, I do intend to share an updated wash and go routine in either December or January

I hate how trash these brands are to natural hair influencers. It's disgusting!
Please leave all the videos up. Why are you removing videos that fans want to see
Make sure to watch the entire video to hear why I've removed some videos
@ALove4Me that's punishing the subscribers, the brands have moved on to their next victim
