    Interesting. It is likely useful to remember that the Roman Army was several centuries before firearms or explosives. Such a weapon might be useful against horses or people that didn't have either or chain mail.

    I will refrain from sounding too certain, but I do believe the plumbata were thrown much like you would throw a stick, gripping at the rear end and flinging it, instead of throwing it like a sports dart. There's a lot more power in this throw, and the plumbata stabilizes fairly quickly in flight. Tod's Workshop has a few good videos on the subject. I think you should do a video with this throw.

    To extract Roman Doctors used two brass tubes to sheathe the barbs so they could be removed without further damage.

    Please. That was not the "German King Geiserich". Geiserich was the "King of the Vandals and Alani" he was (if even, he was son of a Roman mother) a Germanic King. Please people do not mix up the terms "German" and "Germanic" they have completely different meanings.
