It’s absolutely hilarious if you go talk to the hint man after going to the cafe, activating the event where everdred is on the ground, and walking right past him. He says “These days, young people seem to be so indifferent to what’s happening in the real world? It’s disappointing that you seem to be indifferent about the real world, too. For example, if you see someone lying in the street, don’t you think that you should really stop and try to help him?”

I started noticing this around the skyward sword lp(with his girahim voice), but Chuggaa's got some real voice acting chops. He really sells that Aloysius laugh!
True that. He might not be good at singing, but he could probably give Jesse Cox a run for his money in regards to voice acting. Hell, if they collaborated on a voice acting project, they could make something good.
his Ghirahim voice was spot on and felt so real to me.
I really hope he gets a voice role in some animation project somewhere, that would be HYPERCOOL.

Has anyone ever asked why, every time Paula is kidnapped, Pokey is directly involved with the group? Maybe it's a subtle hint that he wants to take the closest person to Ness during his travels to assert dominance after being shown up on the way to the meteorite in Onett.

I would just like to say that the edit at 5:57 kind of made it look like a transition that would happen if Ness and Jeff got hit by that car in that moment. All it needed was some tire screeching effects. I don't know why that's what I thought for that, but it happened.

I turned away right before chugga started laughing because my tea kettle went off and I though chugga lost it for a second.
One thing that's also kinda important that's different in the Japanese version is that it's heavily implied that Ness not accepting Pokey's apology back in Happy Happy Village allowed him to get influenced by the Evil Mani Mani Statue. Since that's the first, and as far as I remember, only time that we're asked a question, they pause for an answer, and we *don't* get the choice prompt. It's thought that Ness is the only person Pokey considered a friend, and Ness didn't forgive him. In that moment, Pokey lost his only friend, the only person he can trust
Late Game Earthbound/Mother 3 Spoilers below
The theory is also helped by Pokey keeping Ness' Yo-Yo. It's the only item in his toybox that's protected, and it's refereed to as "Pokey's Friend's Yo-Yo" meaning he must've still cared about him, and the time in between games made him realize that too late, or the death of Gygas made the evil influence escape him long enough to realize his mistake.

But since we won’t be seeing him again (well, I say that but...), a couple things about Everdred here. First, you can ask him to repeat what he said twice before he loses patience and leaves. Second, it’s heavily implied that Everdred was either supposed to die there or dies soon after he stumbles off. He has an unused ghost sprite in the game files, and in the post-game/epilogue, the people in Burglin Park when asked about him state that they think his demise is a hoax, one of them even proclaiming that even if it’s true, Everdred is still watching over them from wherever he went to. However, one page of the Fourside Post talks about how a man fitting Everdred’s description met a lonely demise.

Usually don't do this, but I wanted to leave a comment on this video. Personally, I love this LP so far, and it got me back into Earthbound since I had been losing to a much later boss a lot and had gotten discouraged. (I think a few people know which one I'm talking about, but I'll give you two words: Fire Spring) Yesterday I finally had the motivation from this LP to want to complete the game, and I did end up beating it yesterday. Thanks Chuggaa, for not only your great content over the years, but also for getting me into a few games that I originally had not much interest in or not even known about.

So in my recent replay, I named Ness Wario, so when Pokey asked if we were asking him for money, i thought "Yes, I am here for your money."
You guys when I first played earthbound, I thought fourside was created by Monotoli to trick everyone into believing Fourside was a good place and moonside was the actual place and the people here are talking weird because they are glitched by the sides that believe in Fourside and moonside

I really thought the bit about Everdred was going to be the whole thing about the game having unused sprites for his ghost and how originally he was dead in that alley, but the bit about him raking Ness over the coals for letting Paula die is way better!

Moonside literally gave me nightmares as a kid. I don’t know why as it’s not particularly scary, but the fact that I was playing on the game when it wasn’t mine, so I didn’t know what I was doing on top of odd distorted music terrified me
See, I like the way the comics or novelizations deal with this. Ness is very likely to bring this place to the ground because Pokey, his statue which warps minds, and a group of extraterrestrials kidnapped his good friend, closest ally and growing interested partner, and Jeff is understanding, but also understands he can't just do that. Though-personally-I would love for Ness to do so.
Though to be fair, it seems the game is much more mean to Ness when it comes to Paula's family. Weird-considering the characterization and his powers, he seems like a super good kid.

Just finished this part last night and I was terrified and scared. Especially when I sleep at a hotel and the music was all warped
I know he wasn't actually about to, but the cut at about 5:57 makes it look like Ness gets hit by a taxi and wakes up in the hotel.

Story Changes!
Everdred's Death: Remember that Everdred has an unused ghost sprite, which many people assume that he's supposed to be playable. However, seeing how he dies in this part, if they should show his death, it should be dramatic, and dies where he is, leaving his spirit to actually push away one of the bystanders watching him. This is where the ghost sprite should be used.
Man, the first time I came to Moonside... man, what a trip. This will be the first time, but not the last, that this game get SURREAL.

The only place besides Earthbound where I have encountered the name Aloysius was in _Beanstalk Bunny,_ a Merry Melodies cartoon in which Daffy Duck briefly tried to use it as a fake name.
