    You're so right that it's baffling that The Spear Cuts Through Water wasn't nominated for anything. Awards committees were sleeping on it just like everyone else. They must just not have read it!

    How funny! I started reading 'The Spear Cuts Through Water' early last year, not having heard much about it, just because I had this feeling I should read it. Then life distracted me and I put it down, but earlier today it popped into my head spontaneously when I was trying to decide on a fantasy to read, and now I've seen your video! The stars are aligning - I must read this immediately!
