Thats Max Domi, Tie’s son
And he has a lot of work to do if he is ever going to be a legend like his dad.
maybe he want's to pass on the likely CTE@@shawnwharry952
@shawnwharry952 How is a goon who scored like 6 goals a season considered a 'legend'?
@@NatTurnerswitBurnerz Are you kidding me? You said it in your first question, because he was a feared goon. He is a legend, but not for scoring, he's a legend for being one of the most feared hockey players...EVER.
@@NatTurnerswitBurnerzhe actually averaged like 15-20 a season which is high for a enforcer. Many only had a few in their career. Think tie domi best season he got like 28-29 goals he was fuckin fired up . He wasnt just a goon go back and watch his actual highlights. Domi played a lot more minutes in a game then most fighters cause he could actually score too. But his son already has made a good name for himself where hes from. And hes london knight alumni
a new player Rempe is getting tons of hype. he's a huge 21 year old, just called up to the nhl a couple of weeks ago, hitting and scrapping with anyone he can.
Even though I'm an Isles fan I love that dude. In his first few games he's already thrown down with the boys. Ya gotta love ta see it.
Yeah he just got a game suspension or 4 lol
Yup, he's going to be a good guy to have on your team
If he lasts long in the league. Dirty player, 6 concussions, hes going to be targeted and any more concussions hell be a potato @user-sc8ci6go9c
My daughter went to HS in Ohio with JT Miller. He went on to play in the NHL. He came from a small town. His parents weren't rich. Most of these NHL players come from well to do families because it's a very expensive sport to get in to.
not true, most are small town canadian kids from working class familys
@@5Cdarkwing no.
@@johnzubil2875 yes
To Play at the higher levels in hockey is a little expensive but most are middle class or what's left of middle class .. probably why hockey's not expanding as much in North America right now
@@johnzubil2875 yes
With the first one, you had it right. Player wasn’t mad they scored, but rather how he did it. Taking a slap shot into an empty net from 2 feet away is excessive and unsportsmanlike, you just don’t do that.
Definitely against the unwritten rules of the NHL! He should of know he was gonna get dropped Ike a fly
Thank God I found someone with the same opinion, I swear so many fans haven’t played the sport weighing in on the unwritten rules.
@@Justthatguy1998 agreed!
@brianhixson5357 screw the unwritten rules. It's a rivalry game where you have more opposition fans in your own building. It was great.
Only sens fans seem to think it was appropriate, just as classless as the building, city, and people who cheer for them... The sens are the laughing stock of the NHL
I love how you guys each had a different instinct on how okay the first goal was.
i mean the guy on the right is just clueless i think
There’s really something special about ice hockey. They go out onto that ice with numerous deadly weapons. There’s a code and a respect that I can jive with and when they battle, I’m ok with it. And that really f’s me up because I’m a peace preaching hippie. ❤❤❤
that f- you up feeling is called cognitive dissonance. likely means everything you thought you understood about the world is wrong in some or many ways. ie idealistically believing in some idea like peace but then being confronted that respect for others makes a peaceful idealism belief unnecessary and foolish to believe in.
I take exception to the term ice hockey. It's just hockey. Hockey. Clearly it's on the ice, drives me crazy.
Should do more NHL reactions
I know, right. They keep reacting to baseball and basketball.. Two very boring slow sports. Can't stand it
@@bmorg5190bye then!
@@bmorg5190Basketball is anything but slow
I think a cool thing to react to is the times a goalie scores a goal on an empty net from across the ice. This has happened more than many realize and there are even cases where a goalie has scored a goal where there was a goalie in the opposing team’s net
The Tchachuk brothers (Mathew & Brady) are known for fights & dirty plays.
Keith, their dad, was known to the same way. Keith Tchachuk had 10 of his 19 seasons with 100 minutes of penalty minutes, & 3 of those had 200 penalty minutes.
Matthew had 2 seasons with 100 penalty minutes in 8 seasons, and Brady has 4 seasons of 100 penalty minutes in 6 seasons.
The family that goons together...
Name one thing dirty Brady has done.
The first example is considered to be in poor taste. Unsportsmanlike to slap the puck into the empty net like that. Its basically a middle finger to the losing team.
Calgary flames vs Edmonton oilers most recent game, late Feb I think, always heated between them... in a different way than others
The oil kinda pooped the bed in that game though. At least the fights were amusing 😂
Hey,..have you guys watched Slapshot yet ? 🤣
The first one, you have to understand that Ottawa is WAY down in the standings, so to fire a clapper on the open net like that was total disrespect.
The Domi you see on the ice is Tie Domi's son - Max Domi
At 5:40, the issue is that the first two hooks are into the mid-section where there is no padding and the final slash is to the back of the calf, where there is minimal protection. All three of those hurt, so it's normal to turn around and politely ask for an explanation after the play.
On the Reily hit, the player from the Senators broke one of the unwritten rules of hockey with the hard slap shot on the empty net. Just put the puck in the net and keep it moving. Reily took exception to that and handled it. He shouldn't have cross checked him in the head though. Usually that's an immediate fight.
I love how during the Isles fight our goal song is playing *Guitar Riff* "ohh oh ohhoh ohh." lmao
Congrats to Max for attaining Legendary status. Must have been raised right.
I used to love when games were at Calgary Saddle dome because 9/10 hockey fights went uninterrupted by the reffs, theyd just step back n let the 2 go at it. Almost never huge brawls it would stay between the 2 guys. Nowadays its stopped or turns into a ridiculous mosh pit lol
I love watching people truly watch for hockey for the first time lol
It was the fact that he took a slapshot into the empty net, not the goal itself
If you want to see one of the best enforcers of the NHL look up Gino Odjick vs St. Louis Blues where he takes on half the team
"Closest thing to soccer". lol.
You haven't watched enough of either yet.
There's some good video of guys getting teeth knocked out, dozens of stitches, broken bones, then getting back in to play minutes later.
Hell, there was a guy that literally died on the bench, was resuscitated and wanted to get back in and play.
And then there's soccer... ooh, I got a boobooo, someone carry me off, wah!
Some context on pulling the goalie:
It's not a flex by the winning team, it's desperation by the losing team. Even though you are far more likely to be scored on than to score when you pull the goalie, it doesn't matter.
Lets say in the last 2 minutes (which is when goalies are typically pulled), there's a 5% chance that you score, and a 5% chance that you get scored on. If you're down 1 goal, you're 95% to lose, since if you don't score you lose.
If pulling the goalie makes it 10% that you score and 50% that you get scored on, you're still only 90% chance to lose, since losing by 1 and losing by 2 is the same from the perspective of the standings, but forcing overtime gets you a point.
You should react to the Florida panthers vs Ottawa senators this season when everyone on the ice got a game misconduct. Been watching hockey my entire life and I've never seen that. It was hilariously golden
In almost any competitive sport, getting shown up or any feeling of excessive and unnecessary celebration can be insulting and taken as intentional show boating and sometimes guys just snap. Happens often in hockey but that's why I love this sport. It's the ultimate competition and physical sport
Ty Domi!?!? lol. They are Brits for sure. Love it !!
Day 2 of asking for the Tom Aspinall reaction, I reckon you guys would love that. Hometown hero
Love your hockey content!
I love this channel
there are many unwritten rules in any sport, you show lack of respect sort of rubbing it in your face, this is one of those, another is after the whistle blows for a stoppage of play you shoot in into the other teams net , shower the Goalie with ice as you stop in front of him, or make hand gestures as you skate by the benches this will bring a response like this
Don’t get mad at the empty net goal, get mad way before that.
It is an unwritten rule, similar to in basketball, you aren't suppose to dunk when winning in the last seconds of the game. It is almost like you're taunting and it is considered disrespectful.
It's seen as disrespectful to fire the puck into an empty net.
To relate the first goal to something that I’m assuming more people would know. That first clip was like a WR in American football stopping on the one and doing a little jig, then scoring. Or an example in relation to soccer/futbol it’s like leaving the ball on the line then laying down to head it in. It’s a show of disrespect and everyone who has ever played knows it
do you know how mad you have to be to fight with no crowd
Its unsportsmanlike a direct insult
Hockey refs fight more in a game than Floyd Mayweather has in his career
Morgan Rielly is one of the most controlled guy in the league. The fact that he took a slapshot like that is very unsportsman like and you just dont do it. Period❤❤❤
that 1st incident just happened & there was a ton of back & forth here in Canada about "the code" & the changing times. I'm 45 & can tell you until recently I'd assume that if a player did something like that he was going to pay for it 🤷♂ However I'm not a young man like the players are today & they have to decide amongst themselves what is their code. I'll never like over the top hot dogging. You should check out brawl between the Habs & Flyers in 1987. The Habs had taken to waiting for opponents to leave ice after warming up & then scoring on the oppositions now empty net. Philly did NOT like that & let it be known. Warmup happens. Now ended, the Flyers see that all the Habs players have left the ice , so they feel comfortable to leave, only to see 2 Habs players sneaking back on ice to go put puck in net . What happens next is INSANITY by todays standards. Back then it made sense according to that eras code. Notice that because this is all pre game there are no refs

Retro there… feeling old now 🤣.
React to battle of Alberta
With the Ottawa/Leaf game, it's a totally legal to do but there are many unwritten rules to the game. One being, if you've got an open net with no pressure on you, you just tap it in. But I did here that the Ottawa player - Greig, (and the rest of the Ottawa team) were getting annoyed with their fans who were cheering on the Leafs the whole night (don't hold me to that - but at one point, the media was talking about that)...the game was being played in Ottawa.
good to see my beloved N.J. Devils with some fight in themselves. Pity I didn't a lot of that this season.😟
It was Morgan Reilly. Normally an empty net goal, the players just skate off. Morgan Reilly is usually a very calm guy. Only 8 minutes in penalties all year. It was the slap shot that angered everyone. Young rookie should never have slapped it. Score the empty netter but don't need to slap it. Unwritten rule. None of the veterans would have done that, ever.
I think the written rule of "don't cross check people in the head, especially after the whistle in a game you've already lost" is more important TBH
@@MrSpleenface true.
Lol Konecnys shove after the goal wasn't "cheap". Cheap in hockey is when you intentional injure a guy.
from Canada. It's funny you compared hockey to your football. All the way through I was thinking of Andy Capp and how you would most likely know sports fights. 😅😁😉
Yes more hockey 🏒
There is etiquette, believe it or not 😅
To toss the puck in from the point is more respectful than the message that you send by slapping it in, point blank...
There's also etiquette about being punks as away team fans. But the most important "etiquette" of all is to not crosscheck people in the head, especially after the whistle when they aren't doing anything to you and you had to track them across half the rink.
The Ridley Craig thing was so funny. Every time the Leafs play in Ottawa, they absolutely take over the stadium. It was a home game for the Senators but in a barn filled with Toronto fans. Ridley show-boated and obviously that warrants a response, but Riley cross-checked (both hands on stick) him to the head. Properly dangerous. Drop the gloves and fight if you didn’t like the goal. Riley got suspended a few games for that, but Leafs fans are still delusional and defending his actions.
I think you mean Morgan Riley?
@@videogamenoob100 yeah. Brain fart. My bad
I’m a firm believer that all sports should allow fighting.
Sens fan here the 1st clip is a non issue there is nothing in the rule book that says you cant slapshot into an empty net and beside there was like 70% Leaf fans in our barn. The Leafs fan base at least wouldn't let it go for about 2 weeks on X/Twitter at least some of them
Florida can’t go 1 L without trying to fight after
Say what what you want about PK Subban ,but he gave 10 million CAD to a children's hospital in Montreal
That wasn't Ty Domi, it was Max Ty's son
Canadian here played hockey all my life, It’s game edicit that caused the leaf player to lash out. It’s a slap in the face to take a slap shot into an empty net. You just don’t do that! Playoffs coming soon. Ottawa won’t be there but Toronto will!
Toronto vs Ottawa one had nothing to do with the goal, We just like to throw hands up here dudes. They just got bored lol
Please watch Slapshot, a Paul Newman movie. It’s based on a true story. You will understand. It’s basically what Pete Townsend said about Keith: “If he didn’t have a drum kit, he would have ended up in prison.”
Ottawa dude was trying to start a fight, obviously
Tkachuk is Ukrainian for 'turtle'.🐢
That is 100% correct, the Toronto player was very upset with the Ottawa player because he needlessly slapped the puck into the net rather than a respective tap into the net.....Hockey players are strangely very sensitive people...hahaha.
If you wanna see a meltdown, see if you can find what happens when someone attacks a goalie.
Hockey is a game, a sport, built around respect. To say the least. If you do something disrespectful, there will be consequences. Slap shot a puck, instead of easing it in. Not respectful. Do not "slap" the other team in the face, unless you are willing to be slapped.
Max Domi is a top legend of the game
must have a time machine if thats ty Domi but hes got a son
What the Ottawa player did was give the Leaf team a big F>U. Its about respect.
This should be a bigger sport in the UK than what it is :D
The slap shot into an empty net is considered poor sportsmanship and bad manners
Only an idiot slaps the puck into an empty net like that. It is equivalent to spitting at the losing team. In the old days, Miller would have spent the night in the hospital !
React to Matt Rempe. He´s been in 3 fights with just 9 minutes of ice time, i think.
With Rielly thing I think he just snapped he is never been a dirty player. The pressure of being a leaf is much like pressure of playing top flight football for a top 6 team in the epl.
Is there an unwritten rule in soccer where you shouldn’t kick a shot to the top corner if the goalie isn’t in the net?
It seems to me there are things that we don’t necessary want to make rules for but we need unwritten rule enforced within the game itself.
Just a random Finnish hockey dork lost in here. Had some good times! All the best
great video!
That is pilling on in the score, except there are points.
In the greatest sport on earth, there are unwritten rules and codes. You don't get to that level of hockey and do not know them..gotta deal with the consequences of you breaking them..
We don't shoot in an empty net here. That's a fact.
This was tame af
I am a Canadian and a long time hockey fan. Any hockey players that respond to an aggresive empty net goal with violence due to somehow being triggered from a violation of an unwritten rule are completely ridiculous. If you don't want to give the opposing team an opportunity like that, score more goals than them. You don't look like men when you suffer from a petulant tantrum.
You just doing your own thing now? Or is the other channel still alive?
Ridly Greig Impact 🔥
Maybe do a video on the riots in Vancouver after their loss to Boston and what led up to it.
Also, you lads have good hockey 2 hours away in Sweden. Ask around for a heated match and take Ryan Air for 20 bucks.
Eihl isn’t that bad either
Max "Legend of the Game" Domi!! What a strange time I am living in🤣
He’s thinking Max is Tie
Still calling tie domi a legend is crazy as hell. @@tmurph1944
Referring to his dad. At least he has some knowledge pretty impressive
Video starts at 1:35
Gotta score the empty net goals. The Maple leafs are the biggest crybabies in the league. Kuch had the highest IQ in the NHL, did whatever he could to prevent the empty net goal cuz penalty would get wiped out of he scores. If he missed they are still alive.
Lmao... that's not Tie Domi.. he'd be like 55 years old or something
Canadians love there hockey
This game was this tear 2024 so that's Max Domi.. Tie's son
those refs are huge. Some are taller and thicker than the players and they don't have pads on. I went to a game and sat on ice level and the refs kept blocking my view. They are huge guys. 7 feet tall or more without skates. They can handle and separate two or more trained athletes like they were children and can take a punch or two.
there is a video of Tie Domi pulling a fan into the penalty box and just rains fists on him. The Dallas Stars tired to get him on the team and Domi refused by saying ....Texas was full of bull shit ...or he cant stand the smell of shit in Tx....I don't remember (there is a video of it) I thought it was hilarious. Just cant quote it. Im close though..
Theres a code
well, when your franchise sucks for as long and as bad as the Leafs have, that is a typical reaction especially from a Domi, his dad is probably still pissed from his ass whooping at the fists of Bobby Probert.
I'll still give Domi props for sccrapping Probert. Can't be easy fighting a giant when you're 4 feet tall.
Low volume again guys, down to -16 dB
Domi aint no legend 😂😂😂😂😂
Hockey is soccer on ice. With sticks and skates
I’m a big fan of hockey and appreciate many unwritten rules, but getting mad for someone slap shotting into an empty net? Boo hoo, big deal. Hockey players are supposed to be tough
Let’s Go Carolina Hurricanes!!
They used to let them fight. What happened…..
Fighting is being phased our. First the junior leagues then the professionals. Insurance companies are forcing it.
Riley got a five-game suspension for that .. but I'm glad that physicality starting to make a come back in hockey , not a Kim Kardashian come back mind you ..
Tie Domi and his son are very overrated basically fourth line players that only stay in because they're rough
These are grown ups right? Not babies?
😂you are watching 2 nd generation …Domi Jr. 🫡🇨🇦‼️
