i truly miss the elimination format
same, from a spectator POV at least. I can imagine it would really suck to qualify, take time off work or life, fly out to location for at least a few days, finally get to the stage, and then before you even get to battle anyone you get eliminated 💀💀💀

I don't wanna be disrespectful, but could it be that Cardona just won bc of the epic video and not really bc of him looping? The video of him was dope, but imo (just my personal opinion, I am obv no judge) there were stronger loopers who took lower places. If so, then it's kinda sad, bc at the end we won't have any beautiful videos, it's just about the music
Kristof (one of the judges) really liked Cardona's track, so maybe there's something you're not seeing here

Last year Brez was actually extremely ill, he was plugged to external devices for medical assistance. He got better in time for GBB, but then changed his settings before his battle against AVH and it messed up his mix. He admitted it was a mistake

Since the quality becomes more and more uniform can you expand the number of participants from 8 to 16 next year? Or maybe 12 with 1st round as showcase? We truly want to see more loopers perform in GBB
gbb21 had round of 16 battles, but they went back to quarter finals at gbb23 and tbh i think its a good decision because preparing 8 3+ minutes rounds is very hard for the loopers and it showed in the quality of the rounds imo

@@Guswsb52Reading that, it tells me you have a style preference which makes or breaks it for you. The judges all said it was really really close and it was pulling at the finest hairs to make differences in rankings for the top 20. Honestly as much as there are other wildcards I'd personally rank higher, I say respect to everyone for their performance and a congratulations to those in.

We need some scoring here , not sure what is this selections , based on what was this rated , very poor . now we will have boring singres on the gbb , only brez brought a drop that when adding to the rap was really dope , for other loopers not enough to match the sick drops for the loopers that didnt qualify . so disappointed .

Ya like I’m so deadass, but all his other quarter final battles were tough, but this looks to be the hardest one for him. NME vs Brez was a very close matchup, and Brez vs Rythmind really should’ve gone to Brez, but against SYJO???? He’s gonna need to prepare his best 2 rounds because I don’t see any round he’s done before this beating parasite and distraction if performed well

All the loopers in top 6 put in great work. I, like many others don’t completely agree, but they are all great artists. Big congratulations to all who made it.
To give praise to someone not mentioned much and add positivity to the thread, I was thrilled to see Rudi score so high. I found it one of my most played wild cards, personally, and in musicality it beat almost all the top 12, IMHO. Keep it up.
