SSO have changed a lot about the story already compared to the SSL games, like concorde now is a mare and that Lisa is a pop-artist instead of just liking rock music etc, so it wouldn't be impossible to change the storyline
This does make a lot of sense when you go back and look at how small of a role Sabine has. also Mr. Sands and Sabine act like they don’t know each other personally and have never met vs Katja and Jessica who seem like they have. Also Sabine would’ve mentioned Garnok or something like the others too. I know when the games came out they also had comics to dive deeper into the story they couldn’t fit into the games without them becoming boring, so my question is :What was the original story supposed to be before all the rights and what not got bought and they started making one new game out of it?” Making it online and multiplayer to a point iOS a good idea since there were a lot of those types of games coming like that when it did. But before SSO bought them, died the original creators plan to expand the story through games and comics and other things? I would love to have been there when SSL was first thought of and started being developed.
The Dark Rider in Sl1 "the Woods" episode is called "SabineCloak" in the files. I mean, if they planned her to be someone else, could've just called her DarkRider, CloakedRider, etc...
I was questing on an alt account, and when you talk to Mrs Drake and you try to get her to hire you one of the questions she ask you says “You find out an old farm is sitting on top of a rich mineral site, what do you do?” And the correct answer is “Poison the farm and buy it for cheap” sounds a little like what happened to the old dews farm. 👀
Its basically confirmed that she was involved because GED as a whole was involved with the Dew farm and she's a really important person in that company
I think all of this is really interesting, and I think it's entierly possible that the subtleties of all these plot twists were lost when SSO changed hands and direction when the company bought out pixel tales. However, are there any scenes where you actually see her family or have proof that they exist? What if they are an elaborate cover she uses when she needs to disappear to meet with the generals? Or , if she is human and has a family, what if she is a direct mirror of what we represent as a player in the game? A human chosen by the generals to act as a go between who can acomplish certain tasks in the human world that they cannot. Think about it- when anne dissappears, it leaves 3 soul riders, almost mirroring the three generals. Then we arrive, seemingly chosen for the task of helping them and literally doing for the soul riders exactly what sabine does for the dark riders-running about assisting them. It also links to the theory that anne isnt anne and that we are supposed to fill this fourth position-that her return isn't quite what it seems. Our character in sso is the light version, sabine is the dark version....but of what? It has been implied before that our character is more than she seems to be..
Ok this is a plot twist and it is hard to digest but it is completly true I mean it is almost obvious it reminds me of the Buttergood's vampire theory: like you know that there are those hints but you just assume it was mistakes or unwanted hints
Omg, I never noticed these small details, and is the smallest details like this that can make a game more interesting and mysterious, i don't mind that SSO didn't expand this idea in the game because SSO has become a completely different game from the single-player games, but I totally agree with this theory, thanks for sharing this details 👏
Wow, this was so fascinating! I never realized this or even thought about it when playing the original games. Kind of shows one shouldn't be too quick to assume anything in life really. Yes, ofc, I do think Sabine is innocent. But one thing that made me confused is that... In the second Soul Riders Book, she tells Alex that “I don‘t know if you‘ve noticed, but I‘m the strongest general“ Sure thing, we all know Sabine is the strongest of all the dark riders, but... If she knows that she‘s a member of dark core, that makes it even weirder that she even acts like a human being. Well.... sometimes. And as a matter of fact, I think Katja and Jay are even human. But they‘re just like almost being brainwashed / mind controlled by Mr. Sands, right? But there is definitely a reason why Katja and Jay never talked about their life / family. Maybe something sad happened to them a long time ago and they maybe don’t wanna talk about it? And btw, did you realize that in sso, Sabine didn’t talk about her family at all? Only in Starshine legacy. THE STORY IS STARTING TO CONFUSE ME, WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THIS GAME?!
That's the thing, SSO has a little bit of a different take on Sabine than Starshine Legacy. In SSO, she's always been a general, and never been human .. I don't think she canonically has family anymore, and according to the books she's the new girl 🤔 that's why this theory is based on Starshine Legacy, and not SSO
i still stand by my theory that the darkriders doesn't have free will, same with mr sands. i feel like garnok corrupted them, since he's so influential even if he's in a different dimension. mr sands has lived for presumably more than a century, that wouldn't be possible unless garnok supplies him with power? mr sands is just a vessel that garnok uses to aid his escape. same with the darkriders, garnok needs 3/4 generals to help him escape, he finds the darkriders and uses them. maybe katja and jessica are as old as mr sands, hence why they have magical powers. sabine could be the "newest addition" which means that she didn't get powers yet. (spoilers of the main story) in sso she chased the mc with some kind of shadowpower, maybe only now she got those powers. it could be that the longer you're under garnoks influence, the stronger your powers become. perhaps jessica and katja don't have families because they in reality are much, much older, which means that their families died. mr sands also "corrupted" justin when he was at dark core, and when the soulriders rescued him he just turned back to normal. it's like he was sick, then when he escaped mr sands he could heal. so my theory is that garnok finds people he thinks are strong enough to release him, supply them with magic and immortality, and when they accomplishes their task he just let's them go (which could kill them, if they're old enough like mr sands). it would be cool if the soulriders could rescue sabine, then she gets a redemption arc since maybe she hasn't been under garnok's influence for very long, that's why she locked the soulriders in the stable, to keep them safe. maybe she knows that the soulriders can't get injured or die, cuz then garnok would be set free.
+ that's why she still has humanity and could be saved, katja and jessica might be in too deep. idk it would be awesome if it's revealed that it's not of free will they're doing all this, it's just garnok being an asshole

I think something that would make sense and be consistent throughout the Starshine Legacy series’ and SSO is that sabine is human yes, and was a bully yes, but perhaps her father worked for dark core or something and thats how he’s so rich?? And through that connection sabine is an inside woman into dark core, a human representative, hence why she chases starshine in the woods perhaps
interesting theory! sso doesn't seem to know what they're doing themselves, as mentioned, so i figure they'll just latch onto whatever they like best and run with it. i'm not sure how much the old games/the characters' roles in the old games will matter in sso, tbh. ofc the major themes, the soul riders, dark riders, garnok etc. but things like this, like, three or four generals? i don't think it's set in stone, and i think they might just wing it. so tldr; for me it's 50/50.

I was more surprised to find out later on in SSO that she actually was somehow intertwined with Mr. Sands, Jessica and Katja despite her never interacting with them.

AMAZING THEORY! Your UA-cam got me back into the main story. I also have a few ideas about the whole Dark Rider thing. . . I recently started playing Starshine Legacy 3, Legend Of Pandoria. And Jessica is completely normal, too! She just wants to be a star. Lisa and Alex even have her in their contacts, as shown when we call her phone to distract her! And I don't know for sure, but on the stage-thingy that we go up on to take a photo shoot. . .it looks like there's a picture of Katja on it, implying that she, too, is just an average bully. Also, on my alternate account I just got to the quest with Thomas Moorland where a cloaked rider steals the deed to Moorland, and the cloaked rider looks exactly like Sabine! BUT GUESS WHAT? They give the cloaked rider (Who was thought to be Sabine) a gender. It's a male! Thomas says: "him" several times in the quest. What I'm saying here is that this theory is spot-on. I know you don't play SSO very much anymore, but hopefully we can hear some of your original game theories. I'm a huge fan!
WAIT but when we see Justin at dark core for the first time in the room with are horse next to the container, we see THREE people in coats, mister sands is standing in front of them so. who could it be could it be the fourth dark rider or is that sabine and in the book sabine uses powers and in one of the quest when we first meet sabine at the manor she is standing next to khan hm. im not trying to get rid of the theory u made but I think yours is REALLY RELLY good and makes sense
Justin was also corrupted by the dark riders. I think it's possible Sabine was also brainwashed by them. But she did start off as a normal human girl who was a bully
Ok, but like what if sso actually knew that, but decided to change it because we all know how sso is rewriting the backstory right now so maybe they just didn't like Sabine being human so they decided change it. I mostly based it on the third soulriders book chapter 12 because there pretty much half of the chapter was about how Sabine and Jessica are not human and all that stuff. And since it was so clearly said on the book I really do think sso just decided to rewrite it.
Ohhhhhh wow definitely a mind blown 🤯😳 I don't know what else for me to say is she a spy or a agent or is she pretending to be a dark rider so she can tell Fripp what the Dark riders are up to?
LIKE DAYUM……… how can you be so smart about this stuff, i never realised she was innocent. We just belive some mean people are actually innocent and we see them in the wrong angle🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
We even have some kind of proove in SSo. Like I think it was a storyquest, when a vala witch took some of the soulriders andwe were left alone with the dark riders. Sabine was the only one who said: "Hold one, this situation is out of control, I know we are enemys, but let us work together to fix it."
I need to share a random theory that popped into my head just now. I already commented something else on this vid too, but I feel this theory fits most under this recent video. So here is the small theory, I think that a new quest with updated dark riders is going to be released during the halloween event. I guess that because even the birthday event is 4 weeks this year, and since it's the 10th year a special extended halloween is defenitly possible too. That also makes me think that we might get the character update as a big christmas gift which would also be thematic again. Then there is the race system update left. Maybe also a christmas gift or before or after halloween.
They said in the books that the dark riders all are in costumes, Her family could be in costumes too, they also mentioned a fall what Sabine had and they said if she WAS Human she would of died but she survived, she can’t be human
My theory is that Sabine, Jessica, and Katja were actual human beings that became possessed by whatever Garnok's Generals are. Like they were normal humans who were turned into hosts for these "parasites". Or maybe the Generals killed them and sort of shape shifted into a replica of them. This is probably too dark for SSO, or maybe I'm reaching a bit too far, but we know pretty much next to nothing about what's really going on with Dark Core. Well, we know that Mr Sand's fiance Rosalinda was killed by a group called the Sixth Hammer, Garnok called out to him to manipulate him and grant him immortality. But we know absolutely nothing about Darko, other than the fact he originates from Norway, is the founder of the Nightmare Institute, and has pyromancy and psycokinesses(I probably spelt that wrong) abilities. Thank you for reading this wall of text. I've seen worse though lol.
I am not shocked by this. Going off the SSL lore, it has always been my understanding that Sabine was human, not a General, not part of Dark Core. The only confusing thing might be the game files "SabineCloak" and Kaahn having flaming hooves. I have a headcanon for that. Since Sabine is never shown speaking to Mr Sands but is sometimes depicted in his presence in level 2, I am willing to think that maybe Mr Sands temporarily allied himself with Sabine because she would take great pleasure in tormenting Lisa, and that would benefit Dark Core as well. Remember the failed healing attempt? Sabine and Mr Sands walk up to the other characters AFTER the failed attempt, but before, they are standing together away from them, like they are talking. Possibly, Dark Core shared some of the supernatural power with Sabine and Kaahn, explaining the flaming hooves and the green aura she has if she catches you? That doesn't mean Sabine herself is aware of any supernatural stuff. She may think she is simply doing her job as a bully.
Few books spoilers ahead!! Without the books and starshine legacy and sso only I'd agree, good theory! But I red the books (which I can recommand :D ) and there is proof in the books that Sabine isn't human. I can sort of confirm the first few minutes of your theory. It's probably fine to give some small spoilers here. At some point (idk if it was Sabine or Jessica) one of them bascially said she wanted to get out of this body, back to the dark star she came from. Yeah now I'm sure, it was Jessica. It was in either the second or the third soul riders book. There is also a scene in the book that points more into the direction of Sabine not being human, Lisa saw at some point that they were black and expressionless, she was able to withstand Alex lightning against her chest for a while and she is illness, in a scene she made an infection spread even faster, her breath smells like rotten apples (not a joke haha, literally what the book said) and there are more examples, but I dont want to spoil the books too much : ) Sorry kinda anti climatic, but I can already tell from the books that this theory won't be true. It still was a good one tough and I enjoyed your video :D
Yeah, that's what I mean when I say they re-wrote the backstory. Back in starshine legacy, it seems like Sabine was not supposed to be a dark rider, or general, and the team must have missed out on this when taking over the franchise 🤔
@@eleanornightwalker I see, yeah they might have missed out on it, they probably didn't think everything trough as much when making ssl. I remember from an old sso interview that they didn't even expect this game to become so big at all (can't find the vid anymore) so back then the story probably wasn't as much ensured yet so it's really possible that Sabine wasn't meant to be a dark rider, Herman surely would have sensed it and not have her take care of the stables. Would be interesting to know how they wrote the whole storyline back then. They probably still have/had it, therefore I think it confirms more that Sabine wasn't meant to be a darkrider and they changed her into one on purpose. Which I personally like, I also can't see her fitting in the story otherwise and it would have been a waste of a character if they would have to write her off, I just can't see what she would be besides a villain in the story. I genuinely do think it was Sabine chasing Lisa in the woods, she always has the red cloack and riding Khaan with his fire hooves. That could have been just an order from sands tough, just to capture starshine and/or lisa, no need for magic, so doesn't immediatly mean she is a general and Khaan was just modified, so his hooves only had to do with his magic. This also confirms more that they weren't entirely sure about the story. On one side they make her seem like a dark rider, on the other not. I see this has become a long comment, haha I'm theorising aloud.
I'm so late but this literally almost proves the theory, in the "new" quests in spring we got new evidence about Sabine being just normally human. In the new quests at spring she just was there, she didn't still show ANY kind of magical things. She was just controlling the riders in the riding arena and trying to get us show our loyalty to her. And everything that she said make sense, she was just telling how ridiculous jorvik is. And in the race too, Khaan was the fast and magical but like when the barrels started to roll over us, we don't have any evidence of that it could be Sabine, don't get me wrong ofcourse it was Sabine and Khaan but she dont have to use any kind of magic to roll the barrels and it could be just Khaan. That was just my thoughts :D (i really hope you see this if u havent think this already)
Hmm. Interesting. I wonder if SSO will have some plot twist like that. Like one of the Dark Riders starts to like being human and decides to turn against Garnok. If I remember correctly in Darkness Falling there was a part where Sabine was musing that Jessica was perhaps starting to act too much like she was human. I don’t think the books are perfectly canon to SSO but it’s an interesting idea that perhaps a Dark Rider could defect so to speak.
My take remains the same, cause it's about SSL and not SSO. Obviously they've gone a very sifferent direction with her in SSO now, but the SSL plot hasn't changed. It should be said though, that people have pointed out that the cloaked rider is named "Sabine" in the game files. That's probably the biggest sign that it's her, but I'd say it's not definite proof, cause there are a lot of strangely named files in there. They might have used Sabine's model as a base (considering they're both female antagonists in the first game), or planned for it to be her but changed their minds. In my mind, as long as the plot doesn't state or drop direct hints that it's her, the file name isn't proof. And even if the cloaked rider IS Sabine, I don't think she's one of Garnok's generals. It's pretty clear that she doesn't know Mr. Sands at first, she never uses any magic powers, and she never mentions DC, Garnok, Pandoria or anything of the sort. If Sabine is the cloaked rider, I think she might have offered to help mr. Sands to get Lisa out of the way, but clearly failing (she couldn't stop Lisa when she escaped with Starshine)
But what about the books it said when they fell down the bridge, they all did so they are all imortal or somehow didint die? but another thing is they said "I wish i can just get back to our normal Selfs" i think it was something like that This is a great theory Tho just thought i may mention this.
The theory is about Starshine Legacy, so the lore from SSO and onwards don't apply to it. Starshine Legacy had different creators from what SSO has, so their ideas and visions may completely differ from one another
If Sabine isn't a dark rider then why does her horse have red eyes and why does she have a scar on her face in the new update, I have been wondering why she acted very strange in the whole story line well the part that I played recently.
The theory is based on the events in Starshine Legacy, and not SSO. SSO's lore has gone in a very different direction from the original games, and things that used to be canon back then, sadly don't apply anymore. The theory in this case is that Sabine was never the villain in SSL, and that she was never actually intended to be the dark rider she is in SSO
Imagine if SSO sees this and realizes they messed up the whole storyline, lol. Maybe they could change it though, when they update the dark riders.
They would have to change all of the story quests about Sabine tho

Also, on my alternate account I just got to the quest with Thomas Moorland where a cloaked rider steals the deed to Moorland, and the cloaked rider looks exactly like Sabine! BUT GUESS WHAT? They give the cloaked rider (Who was thought to be Sabine) a gender. It's a male! Thomas says: "him" several times in the quest.
What I'm saying here is that this theory is spot-on. I know you don't play SSO very much anymore, but hopefully we can hear some of your original game theories. I'm a huge fan!
This makes SO MUCH SENSE
WAIT but when we see Justin at dark core for the first time in the room with are horse next to the container, we see THREE people in coats, mister sands is standing in front of them so. who could it be could it be the fourth dark rider or is that sabine and in the book sabine uses powers and in one of the quest when we first meet sabine at the manor she is standing next to khan hm. im not trying to get rid of the theory u made but I think yours is REALLY RELLY good and makes sense
This theory is about Starshine legacy. It's different in SSO, where she's clearly a dark rider and working for dark core
@@eleanornightwalker true
I love that your using your face now :D
Justin was also corrupted by the dark riders. I think it's possible Sabine was also brainwashed by them. But she did start off as a normal human girl who was a bully
Dang
You're gorgeous, I must say
Ok, but like what if sso actually knew that, but decided to change it because we all know how sso is rewriting the backstory right now so maybe they just didn't like Sabine being human so they decided change it. I mostly based it on the third soulriders book chapter 12 because there pretty much half of the chapter was about how Sabine and Jessica are not human and all that stuff. And since it was so clearly said on the book I really do think sso just decided to rewrite it.
Yeah they definitely did!
But in sso sabine use her powers in dino valley.
Bruh I now think sso is honkai impact with horses and without the honkai things from that game
Edit : Sso is honkai impact confirmed
Ohhhhhh wow definitely a mind blown 🤯😳 I don't know what else for me to say is she a spy or a agent or is she pretending to be a dark rider so she can tell Fripp what the Dark riders are up to?
I haven't watched thru the whole video but I wanna say that I love that you're showing your face ^^ I also love your videos and theories.
This theory is amazing!!
LIKE DAYUM……… how can you be so smart about this stuff, i never realised she was innocent. We just belive some mean people are actually innocent and we see them in the wrong angle🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
In the new quests she comes up with amazing points so many well points that I actually helped her lol

Oml wth this is so true, and sso didn't realize i'm crying
Elonor u have reached 11 k subs congratulations
ELNOR YOU FORGOT RUFUS AND YOUR CHARACTERS HEAD I AM FURIOUS
Omg your right!😮
I'm so late but this literally almost proves the theory, in the "new" quests in spring we got new evidence about Sabine being just normally human. That was just my thoughts :D
(i really hope you see this if u havent think this already)

i always assumed it was katja in the woods help this is all new to me
In sso in dino valley ‘Sabine’ suddenly had ice powers, but if it’s katja… there’s a theory she’s the ice witch
i only know ssl lore lol i grew up playing that i really need to watch the main sso story
Wow. Yes, she just wanted win. Good detective work! :-D
This sounds maybe weird, but could it be that DC wants to put the blame on Sabine, so that they stay invicible themselves?...

What about the star stable books?! 🤔🤔🤔
wow. just wow this is so true.
I think the theory is true it just makes sence
I don’t think the books are perfectly canon to SSO but it’s an interesting idea that perhaps a Dark Rider could defect so to speak.
are you ever ganna do a live stream
Interesting
Dont mind me- a sabine simp watching this video
In the last episode with Alex in Starshine Legacy , wasn't James' bully (Buck right?) Katjas brother? Maybe I forgot but I think he was.
A lot of people seem to think that, but I don't understand where they get that from 🤔 from the way he's portrayed in the game, he's just her sidekick
I love your videos ❤️
Ahhh
Your my favouriteeee
yea but they call the red hooded rider sabine so that thory is scraped
It made sense at the time you released the video, but what's you're take on her now ?
Wow good theory. I like it.
I'm 100% positive that Sabine is not meant to be a dark rider
But what about the books it said when they fell down the bridge, they all did so they are all imortal or somehow didint die? but another thing is they said "I wish i can just get back to our normal Selfs" i think it was something like that
This is a great theory Tho just thought i may mention this.
The theory is about Starshine Legacy, so the lore from SSO and onwards don't apply to it. Starshine Legacy had different creators from what SSO has, so their ideas and visions may completely differ from one another
@@eleanornightwalker OHH thx
what if katja is mind controlling sabine
are u from norway?
Yes 🇸🇯
@@eleanornightwalker cool!
