Good vid and really spot on. With regards to backtesting, I do find this a crucial part of trading when you're not too experienced yet. Not all strategies work, especially strategies created by unexperienced traders. Backtesting it gives you a sense of how the strategy performs before using it live, and even more importantly it gives you the needed confidence to help trading through losing streaks.
Yes, I do agree. I don't really want to disregard and thrash on backtesting, because I've also done it. It's good to get familiar with the strategy dynamics, get some initial data on it, see as you said the amount of losses you can potentially take. BUT, one should not spend time backtesting a lot, because it doesn't train your emotions, intuition, market dynamics and sentiment and all the other stuff that's associated with live trading.

yes when you mean decisions. point I always doubt. myself and think it will not work so I can relate to it. I still watch over and over your videos. about structure market etc. but we keep on trying I just need to be consistant
"I just need to be consistent". Why are you inconsistent? What's stopping you? What's the problem? Tell me more, so I can maybe help you.
If you are in the beginning of your trading journey, it's OK to change, to explore and to experiment with different things, so don't worry. Give yourself time, but try to STOP somewhere at a strategy and a mentor and just stay there!

Great question! The time interval doesn't matter at all. It could take you 5 days, it could take you 5 months, doesn't matter. The task is to stick to your system, to your rules and just take that sample of trades.

trading is essentially a gambling that is why we set stop loss. nobody can be 100% sure about what will happen next. knowledge or even experience only maybe increase the win rate or not. risk management is my faithful servant.
I agree 1000%! The number one denominator of trading success is great understanding of and sticking to Risk Management. This way, you are not actually "gambling". You have an edge that ticks the favor of winning on your side, you apply that with strict risk management and you do that for a long enough time horizon and that's your formula.
In this video, I talk about the "edge" part. Because no matter how good a risk manager you are (which I've always been, never blown an account or suffered more than 6% DD), if you keep changing your edge, you'll never find consistency.
