    My dad was in this race. Galloping Gael, number 6. I was in Plymouth on a small yacht as the race started. Never thought it would be the last time I saw my dad ☹️

    Man those Sideburns at 2:00 .. Wow :) I really can't imagine a crossing in a 30 foot boat, never mind alone!

    Wait. One man single hand sailed a 236 foot boat? I mean it seems like he was decked out in many of the modern (for 1976) technological equipment.
