Game charger. Denon is been coming out with some great technology for DJ!!
Pretty cool!
I really like the idea of this. I can imagine a lot of people with existing set ups are getting excited that they can finally expand their current set up without buying expensive full blown media players!
Great but of kit, executed perfectly
We agree they have done a good job
Denon DJ has hit it out the park with this one... I need a pair asap!
Nice one Oscar!
I waited long for something like this but now i dont need it anymore.
Fair enough :)
I'd love to see a motorized version. LC6000M. I'd buy that in a heart beat.
I would as well! - Scott
Colour me impressed. Compatible with SC5000 as well!!!!
Think you'll get one?
@@digitaldjtips can’t wait to grab a pair
a controller like the lc 6000 for traktor would be a dream
For sure!
I ordered a pair this afternoon, I’ve been waiting patiently for the release. 🤟
Awesome, enjoy!
One of the complaints I heard about the Traktor D2 was the lack of pitch faders. I quickly realized that switching decks or layers was easier without the pitch faders as Phil mentioned that issue with most controllers.
True!
Denon was really smart to include native support of software outside of their Prime ecosystem. Makes these a lot more desirable to a wider range of DJs!
Definitely! You gonna get some Marc?
I hope so much that this feature will be available with the Rane Twelve as well.
Totally standalone club-setup with 2 digital players (SC6000) and two turntable controllers (Rane Twelve) around a club mixer would be mindblowing.
Would be pretty cool...
I want to add 2 of these denons to my twelve setup.
Only issue is, I’ll have a 4 channel Reloop mixer that unlocks serato, 2 twelves and 2 denons with a pioneer xp2.
Can you combine every brand together LOL
That setup would work mitch! As long as you have a 4 channel mixer that opens serato dj, im guessing its the RMX90? U can assign each deck to a seperate deck in serato, the xp2 will work fine aswell. The main issue would be USB port availability, u’d prob need to buy a powered usb hub, tho i have the reloop usb hub laptop stand, its perfect 👍
This is super cool! A smart piece of kit for a past issue. Great job Denon DJ!
Agreed :)
Denon have done it again and i believe it’s going to work with Traktor oh yer baby
Watch this space!
would love this to work with traktor I’d buy one immediately.
@@trevormalcolmson2002 I would have two
I would like to see Rane do this with a smaller single vinyl 8 - 10” separate as you could add that vinyl feel you get with the new rane one to any mixer or controller setup in a smaller package. The Rane 12’s are massive and not very portable.
Definitely a good idea
thank goodness you said it was confusing with the tempo fader... I thought it was just me being dense!
You're definitely not alone!
what about it?
Well done on the video. You explained this so well to audience aren't familiar with prime system
You’re welcome
been leaning towards adding two of these to my srt 1000. only just found out about them a couple days ago lol
Should work fine in the setup
I just got a set of the LC6000's along with the Pioneer DJM S7 and they work great. I had ordered the Rane One controller but had to send it back because it was defective so I jumped on these. I'm very happy with the set-up that I have. I have my first wedding next month and I will be using these. I was up til 10 o'clock last night playing around with them. I recommend the LC 6000 to anyone that don't like the moving platters like the Rane 12 to consider these players and they work great with Serato video.
Awesome, glad you're having fun with them Michael
Do these plug in to the usb inputs on the backside of the S7… no need for the power cable??? Are they compatible with Rekordbox while using the S7?
They are not compatible with rekordbox and they do plug into the usb port on the back of the mixer.@@truestory2227
Definitely getting one
Glad we helped you to decide
Maybe we will see something like this from pioneer , this would be great with a ddj1000
Wouldn't it just!
OOOOOOHHH that's sick!
might look weird next to my 5000s but, mmm... i think I need these
Pretty cool aren't they? :)
Boom!!! Perfectly functional. Well thought Denon.
Cool isn't it?
Super cool sooner or later am still going to get this set up🙏🏽✌🏽
Awesome :)
I am going to be getting a pair of these pretty soon along with a RANE SEVENTY-TWO MKII MIXER and it’ll also be a good fit for my DENON PRIME 4. Thanx for such a thorough review🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💯💯💯💯💯💯
Have fun!
can't wait for Prime 4 support.
Let's hope!
Will this be the product that pushes denon dj into the industry standard position? I can imagine many clubs and bars sold their dj equipment during lockdown to free up equity. An sc6000 comboed with this and the denon mixer is far cheaper than the pioneer set up
A good question to ask
Great video but I wish you had gone further with exploration of what can be done, maybe two lc6000 and a mixer (little review of one of the lowest entry priced kits) or can you run one lc6000 and a mixer and still control two decks.
To you last point, yes you can if the mixer works with DJ software
DDJ 1000 srt and the SC 6000!! Super nice
Yeah it’s a good combo
Such an innovative pics of equipment. Would be interested to see if Pioneer comes out with something similar
Let's see!
EKS had nice controllers like that in the past, but the ability to be plugged to a main player is clearly awesome and the main selling point for me.
Well remembered!
firstly I like watching your dj reviews, not many on youtube as good as you. 2ndly i really love this product, I think its a good match for a 4 channel controller, However i like the pioneer flx10 and rekordbox. How will the LC6000 perform with those mentioned products?
Definitely getting it for serato
I am currently using the sc 5000’s
Awesome :)
This shit is wicked with Serato and the Pioneer controller! Insane!
I know right!
Hi! I wish the central displays could do a bit more in controller mode. I feel many people would welcome that!
I guess it's down to the software companies.
Hope this works with the 5000
As much of a money grab I would like to say this is. It's actually a neat tool, I can actually see me picking up a pair of these. Nice job Denon your slowly restoring my faith in at least one DJ company.
Seems unfair to call it a money grab if they're actually useful and you're considering getting some lol
@@digitaldjtips umm I didn't call it a money grab, reading is fundamental. What I said is "as much of a money grab I would like to say it is. It's actually a neat tool."
Fair point, I misread - reading 1,000 comments a day will do that to you :)
@@digitaldjtips I understand Thank you.
Great piece of DJ gear. I have the Prime 4 would be a good addition. The jog wheels are bigger than on the Prime 4 though.
Nice one :)
It is not supported
xdj 700s actually pair well with pioneer gear. stand alone too plus hid for rb // traktor // virtual dj
Yeah. There’s a lot right about these players but the price.
They should have come in super cheap and incentivized people joining the denon eco system. This unit should have been their gateway player.
Hoping for Traktor support 🙏
Us too
this would be a dream
That is pretty dope. The LC6000 should work with djay iOS as well.
It also looks like the full size jogwheel controller Traktor is currently missing. Native Instruments make this possible please.
It does - you could control four of these from your PHONE! Insane.
Being a midi device, it can (and will) be mapped for traktor.
Time for Akai or InMusic to bring back the AMX (or make an AMX Mk2) so we could have ourselves the dream modular Serato controller!
Nice thinking!
I swear I'm going to buy that sc 6000,I never even thought about that...I never switched from traktor s4 because I need at least 3 decks and cdj 3000 are expensive af.
Glad this taught you something Electronaut!
Any sign of an M variant? That would be awsome!
OOOOOOH I hope so too!
It seems like the logical next thing to do.
If they can price it right it could be great competition for the over priced Rane 12.
I think I’d jump on getting a pair.
Not sure on that one but it would be cool!
or second layer support for lc 6000.. would be easy to add
I wish you could plug in old school numark V7’s and use them like this. I loved my V7’s I could take one or two. I tried using them as a controller with the Rane 57 but no luck getting them to work right.
Yes, they were great little turntables
I was wondering what could possibly be the use of that and then it clicked... VDJ deck 5 & 6
👌
Here it is
Let us know what you think of it, DJEighty8
I think this is a genius solution to a serious cash problem...
Yeah it's a nice idea isn't it? :)
now i can finally james hype!! =D
It would be cool if denon came out with a motorized version that worked with the prime 4
Maybe they will!
GREAT REVIEW AS ALWAYS.MAY I ASK YOU PHIL : ARE ALL OF THESE EQUIPMENTS YOURS :)
Most of the stuff in the studio is on long-term loan from the companies :)
Great stuff Denon as always
but why wouldn’t you Just buy another actual player if you were gonna go down that road.
Why not Bring out one loaded with an effects rack for people that don’t use the denon mixer
That's definitely an option if you have the money
I've got the denon sc5000 but these look brilliant I wonder they do for the denon sc7000 be even better 👍🙂
Nice one :)
i always thought that deck layers were a bit confusing .Using one machine and two tracks .This solves that problem but is there a motorized platter version?
There isn't but I wonder if they'll make one
Dual layers are quite easy once you've mastered it. It doesn't actually take that long.
traktor can use whit denon prime
Phil - Great review on the LC6000. I think the LC6000 is a great concept and can see where it may be useful for someone who wants that physical control while using a 4 deck controller (like the Pio SRT 1000) or a Denon SC 6000 / 5000 unit. But, as an owner of the pioneer SRT 1000 and the older denon mc6000mk2 , it's as simple as pressing the button for decks 1/3 and 2/4 where you can already physically control each deck on the same unit. I do somewhat agree with Phil that you could get a little confused as to which deck you're playing on but that just takes getting used on the hardware you're using. For Serato DJ Pro, will just having a pair of these players work with a 2 channel mixer such as a Rane 72 ?
You'd need a four channel mixer because you'd need to be able to control the audio, so no, I can't see an easy way to get it to work with a 2-channel mixer.
@@digitaldjtips Ahh.. Now I understand... that would make sense. Thank you for the clarification.
Hmmm. I'm running 2 X sc5000s and comfortable with the 2nd layer on each so don't really see value in this for my set up. What would be better is of Denon did a software upgrade and allowed the sc5000s to run off traktor
Fair enough :)
It’s like a Numark V7 on steroids without moving platters !
Indeed! From the same parent company, of course.
@@digitaldjtips Yes ! InMusic is bringing us lots of goodies !
What? At that price why wouldn’t you - plus it works with SC5000 as well! Whoop!!!
Pretty cool eh?
That's not far off the price of an sc5000 now..
Just picked one up. Love it. Only issue is the jog wheel. Even on the loosest setting it’s very tight. Can’t backspin at all. Anyone have this issue? Will it loosen over time?
It is "heavy", but you still should be able to backspin.
@@digitaldjtips hmmm well then mine might be defective. I can barely get the platter to make a half rotation.
I like the integration into the existing prime controller showing twin wave forms, but other than that, isnt this just a midi controller when used in Serato ?
Yes it is
Hi Phil, I really appreciate the work you do. I have learnt a lot from you. I have the Behringer DDM4000 Mixer and was wondering if the SC6000 and the LC6000 would work with this controller and media player. If I don't have to buy a new mixer that would be great. Thanks in advance.
They will work with any mixer :)
@@digitaldjtips thanks for your reply
Curious as to what kind of signal this sends out. If its MIDI signals over USB it's definitely possible to configure with Traktor. Would like to get my hands on this!
Yes it's likely a Traktor mapping won't be far behind
hey everyone, I have a 2020 iPad Pro that I currently use Djay Pro on with a Reloop Mixtour. Do you know if I can add the LC6000 and play without problems? The idea would later be to upgrade the Mixtour…
Phil I did not see anything regarding Rekordbox DJ Pro Did Denon Snub that system? Does this work with the Tablet Version of iDJay? Interesting how this technology came full circle..Pandemic related? Is Denon just slapping the two deck approach in the face? I’m sure they will come out with a plug in motorized version soon..
I am sure if this could work with Rekordbox it would. Probably more Pioneer blocking it than Denon DJ.
Thx for posting this up Phil! I 've been wondering about this since Laidback Luke teased them months ago.
Just to be clear though, they cannot be used on thier own right? There has to be a full controller or other interface connected for them to work, correct? I'm curious what would happen if a SL 2 interface box was used to run through your mixers' channels.
@They Caged Non Thx. I just finished watching that. This thing is freakin' insane!
Pretty cool wonder if they're going to come out with a m version
Would like to see it!
I’m confused. We can still see the dual layer on screen with the new update, without the controller, right?
Yes you can
Wow 😳
The track in the beginning please
It's our own theme turn, written by Joey in-house.
These could be awesome.... 👏👏💪will get a few pio users to consider denon tech.... anyone know UK retail on these?
599
SO IF YOU HAD A RELOOP MIXTOUR CONNECTED TO VDJ WOULD THGE SC6000 WORK
Possibly although we haven't tried this.
I want one or four.
Know what you mean
Any idea when this will work with denon's flagship prime 4 standalone??? It is denon prime series equipment after all!!
No idea Anthony
given the choice would you rather play on the denon gear or pioneer ?
I won't speak for Phil but he does have the choice and uses the Denon Prime Go for his streams, I remember him being fond of the Denon MC7000 as well for a while. Personally I have a soft spot for Pioneer - Scott
@@digitaldjtips i’ve always been a pioneer man myself when it comes to cdj’s but i have used the prime 4 and found it to be great. i’m yet to try the stand alone denon players but have been really wanting to ever since trying the prime 4
Hopefully you get a chance, they're excellent and in our opinion the best media players money can buy - though the gap has narrowed considerably with the launch of the CDJ-3000's
Why doesn't Denon do their own DJ Software? I would love to be 100% Engine OS.
It's highly likely that Engine will become a fully fledged DJ software
@@digitaldjtips It would be perfect for these babies! I am still gonna get a pair of these!!! :D
I was never confused at all with the dual layers. I have 2 Denon SC5000M with Rane 72. I color code the 1st layers yellow and blue for the 1st & 2nd player, but the 2nd layer on both players are always red. If using 1 player with a 2 channel mixer, 2nd layer is red and red is always channel 2...red is always right. While might be great for others, it would only complicates things for me. Sometimes less is better for me, but still efficiently effective.
Also why didn't Denon just make a controller to directly compete with the Pioneer 1000 SRT with the same size jog wheels and just discontinue that Prime 4 with those smaller jog wheels?
Fair enough, glad you have a system that works for you :)
@@digitaldjtips my apologies for anything I said that seemed to put Denon in a bad light. I know they listen to people responses and feedback and respond to such. I know they wouldn't just make things unless there was a great need.
No need to apologise, you're entitled to your opinion and nobody know's what works for you better than you do :)
@@digitaldjtips facts💯💯💯. Thnx big homie🔥🔥💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Is there some way to change a color of jog-wheel on LC6000? I am not a huge fan of green color, I prefer all my decks being white
Can you not do it in the utility menu on the paired SC6000? Not tried to be honest.
Been waiting for this since august!
It's been a pretty badly kept secret, right? 😇
You said it was a lot cheaper but didn't give a price comparison?
It's US$599
Will one with a Motorised platter come out
Not sure Lee but I'd like to see one!
Hi what about as add on decks for the prime go..
Only 2 channels, this will not do anything for the prime go or the prime 2. It hasnt been announced for the prime 4 yet, that would be a huge upgrade to the prime 4
@@chadcavalier not to open 4 deck option but to use or overide the small jogs on the prime go...
Last week I purchased my first LC6000 and I connected via USB to my Prime 4 it automatically connected to deck 4. However, I am open to any advice you have about the settings menu(s) while the LC6000 is connected to my Prime 4.
Sounds like you've got it covered Alista.
Sorry, last question - Serato DJ Pro, Denon X1850 plus 2 of these - or do you still need a controller / media player of some kind?
no
Can you adjust the sensitivity when scratching? I know it has a tension adjust but is there a sensitivity setting for lag?
no
Can they be used with the Prime Go to replace the existing jog wheels when needed?
No
Love the setup but how much$
$599
So, the lc6000 is made to control the 3rd deck? To make it easier to manipulate the extra deck?
Yes exactly
Does the LC 6000 work with the new SC live 4? Would be a great supplement!
Yes, apparently they do.
@@digitaldjtips thanks for answering
So, I have just unboxed my SC & LC 6000, plugged the usb cable from into another at the back but then apart from the centre lighting up on the jog wheel of the LC I cannot control anything off the dual layers in the SC player. ANY info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!
Are you running the latest firmware on your SC6000?
I only need 2 decks....what i really need now is a serious sampler with sync functionalities and a serious efx processor..Denon should think about it
Sounds good!
yes, as Pioneer Toraiz with cdjs. it has pro link / midi clock / synced
Hi, is it works with traktor as well?
In theory yes, but it would have to be mapped. We haven't tried it.
Hi, Do you know if it would be possible to connect the lc6000 to the usb ports on the back of the rane 70 and then connect the rane to a laptop? or does the lc6000's have to be connected directly to the laptop?
No, that would work fine.
why not sc6000 single layer that would cause a buzz
Not sure what you mean Mark?
It is on traktor, it says it on their site
thanks for the update Paul, we did check with Denon and they said "no". Show us the link!
Pioneer is really lagging now as this is a game changer
For balance, this solves a problem that Pioneer never introduced (dual layers), many people would like to see it but they've always said that 4 channels needs 4 decks for top performance
Can Two SC Prime units be connect and 1 be used as a controller like the LC unit
No, why would you want to do that?
@@digitaldjtips Coming from a Vestax VCI using Serato i was playing with Two jog Wheels and Waves forms in paralel / stacked and since the SC decks have a PC mode where they become Midi controllers for Serato or other I am / was curios if they could be wired together via USB Deck 1 Master Deck 2 Slave. Although I tried this when they are connected together they both controll the same exact operations simultaniosly. What I was looking and hoping for (possibly w a FW update) is to be able to use motorized decks controlling two seperate tracks on one screen to see the wave forms stacked. This can be a definate mental hangup that i will be ok with, its just when using control surfaces my head go's one way with it having been looking at PC screens for years. The funny part is I have been playing vynil at all my gigs (Istill collect - thanks to Juno) for the last few years and have not been out with a controller for a long time so I guess thats what the Bar scene in Chicago wants to see, me lugging Heavy A** crates and my Two Stanton ST'150"s. thx for the reply, ever since i stepped up to these new players I have been watching darn near every one of your videos and want to buy every controller !! - So Big Ups
Does it works with the prime 4?
Not currently no
Can this work with a pioneer djm nxs2 mixer ?
It is a DJ controller, designed to work with software/Engine DJ equipment. In that case, for instance controlling a deck in Serato, it could potentially be used that way.
I owned a full Denon setup and the mixer failed instantly, I also didnt like the hot cue buttons on the players and the jog wheels were too heavy for scratching. I still love pioneer gear and wont stray from the brand ever again.
Fair enough :)
Dude...can we connect an SC2000 to an SC6000 as a 2nd deck?
No I don't believe so
