Discover Gargano (Apulia - Italy): Necropolis of Monte Pucci - Vico del Gargano

300 meters from the terminus of the Gargano Railways, in Peschici Calenella, it is possible to visit the archaeological park of the Monte Pucci Necropolis, which falls within the territory of Vico del Gargano.
It is a site of impressive size, where more than 800 tombs have been counted. The story begins from the Neolithic period until rekindling in the first centuries AD, with strong early Christian attendance.
One of the most sensational discoveries was an object testifying to the area's connection with the myth of Diomedes.
