I love the silly dots and the lady throwing knives and the jumping and everything it's so good how long did these take you to make? Also how old are you (don't need to answer specifically or at all)
uh yeah, one of the most important steps of learning animation is having knowledge of the 7 elements of art, as well as a strong grasp of perspective, proportions, consistency and human anatomy itself. also, references help a lot. that's not discrediting this artist at all, i'm just trying to point out the many years this person has already spent as an artist.
Volume is Tricky but here are some points that I keep in mind when I was trying to learn Volumetric Animation. 1 - Take your Time. People like Roadsign, Julian and ShamaIama, these guys really take their time with each line, making sure each frame contributes to a solid drawing and consistency. You may need to literally, physically slow down the speed at which you make lines. Road has his streams and you may find it helpful to watch how long he takes to draw. 2 - Draw in the Cross Contours. Look at Road, Weilin and even Nakamura's shorthand, really volumetric animators. These guys have a solid and sure mannequin. Putting in the middle line of the cylinder instead of just the top and bottom, helps keep in mind the volume of the form. 3 - Smooth Motion. Copy these people's spacing. Spacing is KEY. If the left side of the cube moves and the right side moves at a different speed, it would cause the cube to stretch. This means if you can get your SPACING consistent, everything should follow, and it will help build the Illusion of consistency much more. Infact, smooth animations can help create a stronger volumetric animation than the drawings (sometimes). Even when animations deform, if the motion is smooth it becomes really hard to tell. This is not all there is to learn about volume. I'd also recommend getting your drawings volumetric which I can see you're striving for already :D You're doing mighty well, you'll absolutely kill it with animating. Artists to inspire: Milt Kahl, Shouichi, Keisuke Kobayashi, Hiroyuki Okiura, Takeshi Honda, Toshiyuki Inoue, Moaang, Miyaso. Grind Hard, Grind Smart, Grind Safe.
Bro how do you do this 😭😭its so good i also wanna learn to animate like this😭😭😭😭😭😭 Youre gonna be my goal in te future your animations are literally pure fire🔥🔥
Everything is in the pinned comment but Dong chang pretty gud for people who wanna learn full body, Genga/anime animation tutorials, Howard whimshurst, does great sakuga breakdowns, and animation tutorials Alan Beckers 20 principles of animation, he has flash tutorials if u have flash on ur PC or even Adobe animate, Animators survival kit book, personally haven't finished the book cuz I've been busy but I learnt animation myself anyway
Just wanna say that this actually inspired me to start learning how to animate again. I got some basics but now i wanna actually improve. Your improvement is insane, cant wait to see more.
1:02 brooo yeah I loved jomm's animations in the domics videos i immediately recognized it even being the wireframes, his stuff is so dope, great study pick
I just started learning animation on my own. I have some ideas on what to do but I put it on hold since I'm still not that good with drawing. Seeing this gave me motivation to continue thx
I love this!! I’m currently saving up for the program I learned in school… I hope I can start to do things like this too! I miss being able to create the way I want to :(
Technically 2 years but I didnt do any exercises or amything and jumped into personal projects on a whim which is why I'm lacking skills and I've been *ACTUALLY* learning animation atm since June
