I have the TKI4 and have been impressed with the engine. I've ran about 4 tanks since finishing break-in and it's been easy to start every time and hasn't stalled once.
i watched your kyosho video a while back and went ahead and bought one... i have bent the shock tower but was unaware of the chassis issue and havent had an issue since... love the car, and yes the out of the box handling is really tricky but it is fast... thank you for your reviews, they are very professional and to the point and entertaining to watch...
The Sworkz Apollo II nitro RTR would have been a good buggy to compare too. It probably the most race worthy nitro rtr out there. The chassis and shock towers are 7075 aluminum. Take a look at it. All for around $575 from beach rc.
I've used both the Serpent and Kyosho and I love the Kyosho but I loathe the Serpent. I don't loathe it for how it handled, it was a good feeling buggy. I loathe the Serpent because they call it the "SRX8 RTR" but it is actually the 811 Cobra. I have found there are very few parts on it that transfer up to the SRX8. This is a problem I have noticed with both the Losi 8ight RTR (going up to the 4.0 which parts are not made for anymore, at least from what I can find) and the Serpent. That's why I no longer recommend either of them even though that dynamite .21 engine on the Losi is a fun engine imo. The Kyosho is the only brand with RTRs I have found that actually swaps out directly with kit parts. The only weird thing I have found with Kyosho is those odd blue plastic bushings that are required for their aluminum knuckles and rear hubs. If you are trying to put MP10 parts on your MP9 RTR, you will find issues here and there with compatibility (like the center diff being moved like 5mm so now the front center diff outdrive hits the MP9 radio tray and both center driveshafts are too short to reach). Most of the MP10 and MP9 are very similar though. Love your videos especially your nitro videos.
Yeah, it was tough to figure out exactly what version the SRX8 RTR was based off, and it is the 811 which I found annoying too. The new 8ight XE RTR is based on the 8ight XE 2.0, but they don't make a nitro RTR (yet?)!
Really like your nitro buggy comparsion 👍 do you plan to compare other nitros? I know there not to many on-road and monster trucks. But there are a few 😊
Excellent comparison! Is there any possibility if you still have the MP9 and the Neo 3.0 may you see if the Neo 3.0 body might fit the MP9? I like the oldschool bodies more but the MP9 looks like the better buy
in malaysia we have tons of serpent part availability 🎉❤ so for me is serpent is best choice. But electric serpent is much better in terms of speed and maintenance 👍

the engine is soo good on it!

thanks! the chassis is not as big of an issue as the shock tower, but check yours once in a while, it can bend in big crashes/cartwheels.

that looks awesome, didn't know about it, thanks for sharing!

I hope they do because I felt the kit version of the 8ight X 2.0 drove better as nitro than as electric.
This is one of the best and informative videos I've seen, well done!
Great review. What about the XRAY XB8? Is it too expensive to be in this duel?
not enough money to do kit builds unfortunately!
I heard putting the shocks upside down would be better for performance as long as your car can invert the shocks
Love these comparison vids, now you need to do another comparison with the LRP S8 Rebel 😁👍
the entry-level shootout ship has sailed, but there will be a full review of the LRP when I have enough time on it.

I have a Savage 4.6 vs. Revo 3.3 I need to do (someday!)
Kyosho is produced in Japan
Any plans to add an RC8b4 to the stable?
not really, just sticking to RTR's for now

What about inferno neo 3??😊
I've made plenty of videos on that!
@@RazorRC can k have a link ?
Hobao rtr number 1
Great review, thank you for doing this.
