Actually teasing on trivial parts of a person like not having a hankerchief etc is quite an act of affection in Asia. Obviously not poking fun on personal and sensitive topics but light hearted teasing is quite Asian

The Italian version translates the title as "the professor's bag". The Spanish one is "The sky is blue, the earth is white". I read the Italian version.
Wow, I didn't know i was reading the same book untill you mention the main character's name, i am reading it in spanish and the book's title is: El cielo es azul, la tierra blanca (The sky is blue and the land is white). I am wonder which one is the original title.
Hey, the internet gives the Japanese title as Sensei no kaban which google translates into 'The Student's Bag' which is totally different from both our titles! It also probably loses something in the direct google translation!
@@superflorence3000 No this Google Translator is right. Sensei no kaban means teacher's bag. Sensei-teacher, kaban-bag, no-indicate possessive

What is relationship between main character
She calls him sensei because, for the life of her, she can't remember the dude's name. Then she gest used to it and it's too late to use his name to the point that to her it sounds odd when people call him by his name
