I’m doing my own research cuz my doctor just put me on a 1 pill a day dose of valtrex for 3 months. I went to get tested because I noticed a few small warts or skin tags looking like cauliflower on my scrotum. Some are a little raised, others flat and some are very tiny bumps with no white stuff in them. So, during my research on google, I found out that the CDC recommends that everyone testing within the 1.1 to 3.5 range have a confirmatory test performed such as the Western Blot. My range was at 1.1. Fifty percent of people testing within this range DO NOT have HSV 2, so I'm getting the Western Blot test done because I've never had genital herpes symptoms, only tiny cold sores about 3 or 4 times in my 47 years. I think I have HPV and not HSV 2 (God willing). If that's the case I'll fire my doctor on the spot.

IGG can also give out false positives. Especially with a low score under 3.5. Must be confirmed with Western Blot (99% accurate)

It’s been 1.5 years since I had sex (on a vacation) About a month after it I started noticing small bumps on my penis shaft which never went away and itchyness in my penis pretty often. And this has never stopped. I just went in to get tested for all stds and they all came back negative. I am so confused of what I might have, I was 100% sure I had herpes but was too embarrassed to get tested til now
