I had the pleasure of talking to Gene several years ago! i'd asked for his autograph through his fan club and there was some mixup as to what i wanted written so they called me..... and it was Gene himself!!! i was in shock and almost didn't believe it was him. he thanked me for being a fan and wrote me a personal message. he was super nice
Don, here is a perfect example of some of the BEST songs being the most simple ones. Sometimes it’s not how elaborately the words are penned, but rather how many chills run down your spine.
@Susan Tarallo So well put---I'm borrowing that line!! Thanks, and welcome to the channel!!
RockN2Country thank you, Don. Stay well 🦋
Outstanding...
My 2 favs of all time!!
The BEST!!!!!!!
Thanks so much what an awesome pair of true country artists
Mo is just on another level
He's filling the shoes, have you heard him on Borrowed Angel, oh my he makes this old lady happy.😻kat
This is my favorite video on UA-cam. I have probably watched it 100 times. Thank you for playing it. I wish I had been there when this was recorded. At least I had the privilege of meeting them both last year.
Weren't you the lucky one. Gene Watson my old favorite and Mo Pitney my new favorite😻
Don, you already know my love of Vern Gosdin's singing. Gene Watson is right there with him. Mo is making his way up there.
How right you are😻
Enjoyed watching your reaction. You can just purchase tickets, pre virus, to go to The Larry Diner Show. It is on my bucket list. Jimmy Capps really adds a lot to the music. You hit it on the head with the Gene and Mo connection. Almost felt like a father handing over his tool belt and admiring what talent his kid has. Can't wait for part two. Gene NEEDS to be in The Country Music Hall of Fame. Thanks Don!
I fully agree with you. I’ve said for years that Gene Watson belongs in the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Yay!! This made my day!! No answers the question of "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes."
Good stuff .. just luv it watching these guys just having fun.
Gene Watson is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He stays and signs autographs until the last fan is gone.
I love them both!!!!!!
ilove this song..originated by charlie pride
What can you say but this is real country music.
❤️❤️ this one! You can get tix to go to Larry’s Diner.. neat place.. live Gene and Mo both.. Malpass Brothers have also been there ... just saying 😊.. Awesome video choice today !

Hey Don, I’ve got a couple of song recommendations for reactions! First, Must Be The Whiskey - Cody Jinks and Old Hat - Jon Pardi. Hopefully you can get to those at some point. I know you’ve got a long list.
HOW SWEET IT IS.
Love
Listen to North Country sing this beautiful song.
Daddys Hands by Holly Dunn
Thanks. Love your channel.
@Amy Kimble I'm glad you're enjoying things, and welcome aboard the channel!
Surely Mo didn't come from Illinois with that voice?
Haven't heard anything from Mo lately. He had a great video out then disappeared. I believe Jimmy Caps passed away. I can only attribute the possion line to It's the time this was written which must be 50 years ago. But then if the dude thought he owned the gal no wonder she left him. It's still a great old time country song. Three chords and a broken heart.
Mo Pitney is touring out of country. Will be at concert in Llano, Tx , April 8, 2023 at 2 and 4pm. He will also have a concert in Ohio at Sugarcreek. Hope that helps😻
You should check out John Baumann- Lonely in Bars. Its one of the best written songs in country in a long time. Johns a fantastic songwriter who just was part of the supergroup The Panhandlers with Cleto Cordero of Flatland Cavalry, William Clark Green, and Josh Abbott.
Great one! You should check out Rita is Gone by Marcus King, or some John Prine because he’s in the hospital battling with COVID-19 and needs good thoughts and prayers
Or joe diffie
Please do a kolby Cooper song please all of them are good!
Don you are the best. I love Mo Pitney and hope we will hear him on the radio soon. True country and heart felt in every song. Keep up the good work on all your ratings.
It would be a lot more respectful if you could not talk during the song. Sorry but as a lifetime of being a country guitarist I learned early to just not talk when someone else is singing. Sorry but it’s the way I feel.
Good morning Don how are you today pls watch my vid Trump saves children the dark is being removed by the light HAKAD
