It is rare that you see two high-level guys wrestle wide-open like that. That could easily be a 3-2 match. Props to Vito for being a half-step quicker this day.
Definitely not easily it’s just Vito hasn’t wrestled college much and people were surprised
@@bassmasterzach7887 Glory nipped him earlier in the season, 11-9 or 10-8 or something like that. But I agree with the guy below, if Vito brings this heat to the NCAAs, he will give Suriano a run.

@@bassmasterzach7887 No question. The biggest difference I saw in this match was that Vito dominated the north/south scrambles where Glory had a slight edge a couple weeks ago. But yeah, Cornell could have 2 national champs.
Vito just blasted Patrick. It looked like Glory was just SHOCKED by Vitos aggression!! Looked like Spencer Lee out there against Glory...with 2 healthy ACL's!!
Wow. I think me and a lot of other people assumed that without Lee, Suriano had 125 locked up, But Vito could totally win the bracket if he wrestles like that

Yea Suriano is my favorite wrestler but Vito has beat him twice. It was freestyle but still. I got Suriano in folkstyle.
What happened to Glory? Was he sick?hurt? I still think Suriano.. He is solid.. I will say that Cornell does a great job preparing there wrestlers for the NCAAs .. Mike Grey is very technical and makes adjustments with his wrestlers. It’ll be fun to watch
@@pozmarciv i think its a weight issue. Vito has troubles cutting to 125. He was able to fully hydrate by championship match time after weighing in early.
Honestly, don't be surprised if Vito beats Suriano at Nationals. He's got length, is very strong. He dusted Suriano in a freestyle match back in 2019. He just CRUSHED a guy in Glory who will go hard against Suriano.

To be fair tho that happened in freestyle. Nick's been out of the freestyle seen for a while and just started to get back into it. He does have that one up on nick but they've met a couple of times before so its iron against iron again like Fix and Suriano and Lee and Suriano. Vito was on that offense here and to see glory who's normally been so dominant have this kind of match he has good momentum going into the NCAA's. I think it'll be an interesting match and vito might win but against suriano who has such a tough defense score might be something like 6-3 or 4-3 in vitos corner.

I think in was 2019 and Vito beat Suriano up. Suriano is really great against other wrestlers who are not willing to go balls out (like Fix), but take their time and pick their shots. It's a different story with guys that are willing to just mix it all up.
@@jamescicalese4737 2019 and it was 2-2 with Suriano scoring first. How is that a whooping? Only time Suriano loses is to himself. He wrestled fix for over and hour back at Who's number one match. How the heck is he not willing to mix it up bro... Lol

Man, hats off to Vito but Glory looked waaayyy off in this one, gotta wonder if he was sick or maybe the cut is getting to him. He's usually a pretty aggressive wrestler and he just got his rear kicked.

Don't get to watch these two much, somehow came to the wrong conclusion that Glory was the dominant 125 pounder behind Suriano. Should be a fun NCAA tournament at that weight.

Arujau is going to blow right through Suriano. Nick Suriano is strong and his conditioning is unreal. Unfortunately he's not a points guy and he's never been coached for matches at this level. Arujau is on fire this year! He's ready for an NCAA title and this is his year!
