    I did that exercise for 19 yrs, my students and fellow MA says my arms feel like there hitting pipes 🙄

    打三星很有趣,我曾經在台北街運站當保全的時候,在休息區自己買DVD回家練習虎鶴雙形,上班休息的時間就會在休息室練習,結果被一位清潔大哥看到了,沒有想到他是香港移民來台灣的,他看完我練拳告訴我他教我一種練習方式就是《打三星》,也是我第一次聽過打三星,他要我用手臂與他對撞,哇靠.....超級痛,哈哈哈哈哈哈,之後我就對洪家拳非常喜歡,雖未拜師,但也異鄉得遇,實在深刻。

      有啊~ 練功是永遠的興趣😆 我曾經合氣道的教練告訴我,人要活多久就練多久,看妳影片的解說,也偷學不少觀念,呵呵呵 我們這種沒老師教的常常是拿自己身體受傷換取經驗,幾年下來體會,有個好老師引導的確很重要。

    Well done. Suggest you employ open footwork when entering and exiting. Create the habit of being an elusive target.

    我六十二歲家鄉佛山大瀝,隨時隨地出曬棚就可以學功夫,村中叔伯就係洪拳教一,唔使交學費,日操夜操掛三星,曾與鄰村比試,一野劈過去,師兄擋到,連他的橋手一齊壓落去,才感受到三星訓練出來的威力。

    Wow! You are a shining star just like your father. I wish I could get my wife to train some kung fu and to do it with this kind of attitude. For the sake of our marriage I had to give up trying to make her do it after about 10 minutes of something much easier than this. Best wishes to you and your family.

      小黃,加油。我也曾學過松濤館空手道的,現在改學國術。傳統國術裡很多練功法如鐵砂掌、鐵臂功、鐵腿功等能讓你現在的功夫連跳幾級唷!但練完記得用藥按摩。

    your muscles are amazing! This is also old school training, we got some of that medicine wine at home somewhere. I don't think people really do this anymore. I wish I had the chance to work my arms and hit them. it was only 1 leg and fists.

    我年輕時習武亦曾經練過格三星,都只係每次5O次(50次三吓)左右,都已經痛到想到死...何小姐係每次3O分鐘,…… 試過同一個練空手道嘅朋友切磋 ,唔講其他,橋手已經輸曬畀人 ; 一路擋一路痛 , 愈痛愈驚愈驚愈痛.記得當年師父講過; 功夫係唔會呃人, 有就有冇就冇, 任你講到天花龍鳳不如落場一試就知真定假,何小姐好野!

    Iron arms is for breaking the bridge not just removing the less weapons your opponent has to strike you with the better but if you destroy limbs in the movie there is less action but if you watch the protector when he takes out entire room thats hung kuen its anti grappling so you grab me I counter by breaking either your fingers wrist elbow or dislocate the shoulder hung kuen master is one who should be feared by every style

    Love the smell of dit da jow and wood lock oil. Nice to see the old ways are being passed down

      Yes, the old ways are still around. Back in 1990 I trained with a master in San Jose, CA. I was 16. Hitting the wall pads and dummy hundreds of times, striking rice, long pole training. Partner sparring and hitting forearms was always creating bruises and pain. Dit Da Jow was a big recovery ingredient for everyone. Always wondered what was in it, but the secret was never told.

    I've seen this exercise before: very interesting (karatekas to that on each other arms).
    Only, i would like to know if there is any risk of damaging the veins or other delicate structures. You know, sometimes you have a vein running above the bone, and it's hard to believe you can safely smash it on a tree.

    We don’t call it Tik Da Chau. We call Did Da Chau. Tik means iron. Did mean fall down. When you fall down and get hurt, you use this medicine.

    我發現洪拳的打三星和八極拳的三靠臂很像欸,都是鍛煉前臂,我還記得剛開始和師爺練習的時候被七十多歲老人手臂的硬度震驚到了。

    I can only write in English sorry , but what is your dit da jow recepie?
    I have never seen people put their entire hand/arm into the jow in real life, a large jar like that lasts for a couple of years and after training you are so sweaty , maybe bits of broken callouses , it would all build up in the jar and become disgusting wouldn't it? In real life i have only ever seen people put some from the main jar full of ingredients in a smaller bottle and rub it directly on the body
