Thanks man! Car is a cracker and has been developed carefully over 2 seasons to be what it is…. A very capable clio! There are of course many but this one is special … and still getting faster! Loads of details on fb group: Cliosontrack? Sign up and I’ll approve you. 👍 I’ll do a walk around on the car at some point as lots have asked a similar thing. Every sesh on track we seem to be too busy driving it!! Car is built by RENOMOTIVE.
Where is the rollcage? In such extensive preparation of the passenger compartment, emptied to this level and without any original safety devices, it is obligatory...
When I say "roll cage" I mean full, with at least 6 attachment points in the front and rear body. A half at the rear is not a roll cage, it's aesthetic tuning. it does not protect anything in the event of real accidents and rollovers and it does not stiffen the body as a real so full roll cage also does. A minimum of 6 points, welded or bolted it doesn't matter, it's a strict minimum given the preparation and use of this car.
Yeah this was a culmination of a few tweaks to Consolidate the 57’s! 57.7 that lap but with a conservative chicane … lots of new suspension work I didn’t want to break!!
Fully forged, Serious headwork.with individual throttle bodies, custom rad and a few other special bits ... Ported water pump apature Radiused edges on sharp edges in block Ported head, NOT polished, blended valve seats Very Mild compression rise. 422 cams, widest torque spread Port matched ITB Manifold Stock pullies keeping VVT POCKETED pistons for valve clearance Higher poundage and 1 less coil valve springs Uprated valve springs Flowed and Ported oil pump with relief bearing mods Std fuel system Larger fuel injectors Mahle Rods Custom radiator Catch can set up
Special valves ! With some special attention to seats/throats and lots of gas glow work. That's the expensive bits really! That and a small increase in compression. We also used stiffer valve springs and cut them slightly !

Almost but not! We do have a rear cage. That being said given just how fast we are going we are about to install the front half now.

Someone was happy with their lap time. Was that a 57.9 you did?
