Idk about y'all, but I believe playing this song in this arrangement (with Chris on the piano) makes it a lot more somber and personal, which I love. Adds some flavor to an already great song.
Let me give all the fans some constructive criticism here this is the original key and manuscript that Chris originally wrote the song in again so for those they're saying this is not the original you're off you're listening to the original right here chris said in a interview about the sessions of AOL he wanted to do what Nirvana did and that was not to play the songs end up studio versions but like Kurt Cobain did on MTV Unplugged he did all the songs in the original keys that Kurt wrote them in a lot of groups will do this when I play songs unplugged so maybe that helps you understand why it sounds a little different

The Studio version of yellow! Coldplay deviated from the original key! He's not debating the original key the song was written in. You can look that up on Google. However Coldplay didn't use the original key on the studio album. There using the original key right here at sessions at AOL
Totally disagree mate, this is one of the best versions of yellow. I have yellow in many different playlists, phone, mp3, computer and I never listen to the original when you have this quality. The original is almost too heavy for me

This song is accually very hard to transpose to the piano while letting it still retain its ambiance. My arrangement of this song on the piano still needs work after hearing this version.
Well, in my opinion, people are too liberal with the pluses & minuses. I use those things quite sparingly; only if something really resonates with me, or offends me. To each their own. But, Yellow is not a piano song. It's probably one of the best songs of a generation, but the signature grungy guitar theme doesn't translate to piano. This arrangement takes an epic song and makes it sound sophomoric ... in my opinion. That is, if I am indeed allowed to voice one.

I didn't criticize anyone for liking it, or call anyone names. All I said was that the piano arrangement ruined this version.
