- "Let's Twist Again" is a song written by Kal Mann and Dave Appell, and released as a single by Chubby Checker. One of the biggest hit singles of 1961, it reached No.8 on the U.S. Billboard pop chart (No.3 on Cash Box) in August of that year and subsequently reached No.2 in the U.K. in February 1962. The song refers to the Twist dance craze and Checker's 1960 single "The Twist", a two-time U.S. No.1 single (in September 1960 and again in January 1962 on re-release).
The song received the 1962 Grammy Award for Best Rock & Roll Recording. Checker also recorded the song in German as "Der Twist Beginnt" and in Italian as "Balliamo il Twist". A sample of "Der Twist Beginnt" would later be used by The Residents to begin their 1976 album The Third Reich 'n Roll. The song appears on the soundtrack of the 2011 film The Help.[1]
Croatian singer Tatjana Cameron Tajči made a remake of the song in Croatian renaming it Moj mali je opasan. In 1985, Kids Incorporated covered "Let's Twist Again" in the Season 2 episode "Rock of Ages".

When the couples danced, yes, it was the jitterbug. When a group of single dancers danced, it looked more like the TWIST. These dances will never fade away.

Twist or No Twist , these guys are a amazing, having fun and I love watching them.
I wasn’t putting down the talented dancers or Chubby Checker’s song. I was merely informing those younger people who may have thought this was the twist the dancers were doing. Anyone can check out both the twist and the jitterbug online since they are totally different dancers. Nothing alike.

The only ones doing the twist were in the old clip video! I always thought that doing the twist was easy to do, but i guess none of them knew how except those in the older clip! A shame really.
All those dances that you saw, they were dancing to other music. And they added it in with chubby checkers song All for the fun of it. Because it looks like they were really dancing to the twist but they were not.

Dance clip's were Jive, swing, jitterbug, etc but not twist. If you're going to do a Chubby Checkers twist clip at least get the right dance clip's.
