- I wanted to make this remix back in July but was unable due to IRL stuff so there ya go.
Also when I returned to the internet, I looked up some of remixes and imo they were not holding up to the emotions I personally felt while listening to original WIP by @Hakita so I added my own spin to it.

it’s cool to think the ps1 render of ultrakill is just V1’s vision and in reality it’s a lot more gorey. who knows, it might be true cuz the score board is an actual think that V1 sees in canon

This is really cool! The emotion in this song is so strong, I can almost taste it. The World Looks White is filled with grief and regret, and yet somehow feels almost nostalgic? Really good. The World Looks Red is great too: it feels like I'm going down a path that I know will only bring me sadness and pain, and yet I can't stop.
I prefer The World Looks White, but both are really cool. It's very impressive how different these are from the original, but still manage to convey the exact same feelings.
Thank you! That was my real intention, to convey what I felt from original WIP and expand on it a bit, and it's great that you felt the same way
this feels like if the world looks white and the world looks red had their own combat themes instead of the world looks red BEING the combat theme
Well kinda yeah. I imagined how twlr would sound like if made like something from the Prelude and this is what I've gotten

I feel it goes a bit too hard on the audio effects, especially at the start where it has "cathedral" echos, it feels like the music's trying desperately to make me feel something instead of letting itself play and feel that way naturally.
Maybe the reverb could be replaced with a violin on some lower notes to emphasize melancholy in the first half, and then shift into some higher notes to emphasize fast paced action in the second
Thank you for your feedback! Honestly, I may have overdone some effects since I wanted it to convey sort of sorrow and emptiness I felt while listening to original WIP and this could go a bit too far. As for violins... Not sure what you meant by replacing the reverb with them
@@kurokamikage_official Think what they mean is instead of putting in an effect to fill in a void, you can have an instrument play some notes instead. Makes the piece feel more whole and sound less effect-heavy.
but don't quote me on that. I have little to no experience making music, so I'm basing my take on listening to a bunch of music where they utilize instruments wonderfully.

A big fan of the first, melancholic part, although "The World Looks Red" sounds decent in any case. I would not say that other remixes are not able to hold the same emotions as the original wip from Hakita, but this work can definitely compete with them in quality! Great job!
Thank you! Emotions are purely subjective so that's totally ok if you don't agree with what I felt. After all, music is art and the poetry of that art is in the ears of those who listen

@@kurokamikage_official well, I might as well more directly address your question by addiing that Metroid Prime and Ultrakill are both very atmospheric immersive first person games with great music and secrets to find... but none of that matters because they're both video games and ALL VIDEO GAMES ARE 100% EXACTLY THE SA- (jk)

@@kurokamikage_official Oh sick, I've recently moved from programmed guitars to the real thing, and it's hard as fuck. Any tips?
Depends on what you ask, if it's about technique then I'd say learn more stuff through playing songs and instrumental pieces, if about recording progress then... Idk honestly what to advise, my process is basically plug the guitar into audio interface, pick an amp sim (I use Archetype Plini) and hit the record button - and mixing then, of course
@@kurokamikage_official I already got the recording part down, I use Archetype Gojira personally. I'm more struggling with the technique
Damn, I want to lay my hands on Gojira so bad tbh but got no money (and no opportunity to buy anyways because of my location).
As for technique, I'm a classically trained guitarist so I can only advise, well, learning pieces and practicing gammas, slowly and then gradually raising speed as you become more confident in what your hands can do. Try playing different rhythm patterns with your pick, different strokes and stuff
There are quite a bunch of guitar youtubers (e.g. Brandon D'Eon) who actually show some good exercises that help so I guess that's a good place to start or continue the journey
