10 Years actually have a lot of good songs and several albums, they are still touring and making music
I think y'all might like some Breaking Benjamin - Breathe, I Will not Bow, Diary of Jane
So many amazing bb songs I don’t even know how to choose. One of my a time favorite bands!
I agree I have 3 albums I listen from them Phobia, We Are Not Alone, and Dear Agony.
Breathe is my favorite song from him
I remember that show with 10 Years and Korn. That was in Lewiston Maine and I was there! I remember after 10 Years played their set, they came out into the audience just to hang out and watch the rest of the show. Vin is correct!
Yay! Love this song and the fact that Sori said I was right just made my night lol. 😁
And lmfao Vin. I would NEVER try to tell you what you can and cannot listen to!!
NIce pick, this band is sooooo good, not very famous though, but still very talented.
yes me to got the cd
Absolutely love 10 Years!! Thanks for getting this through to them. Soooo many more great songs from 10 years to do. Get some more to them. Fix Me, Novacaine, Halos, Shoot it out, Through the Iris, Beautiful, 11:00am Daydreamer. Just to name a few. Thanks again!!!
@@LuisRivadeneira shittin me they aren't famous. I found them on the radio
@@mementomori2839 yes, but they're not a regular, and most people I play their songs to always ask who they are... It may be because we live in different countries... Maybe they're not famous just outside US
10 Years kicks ass..even though they might not be very big band..they rock...luv them
Bro I'm 23 I used to listen to this song when I was younger back in 2006 I mis this kind of music 😭
@@stephenreed830 2 years later, I'm 24 and I used to listen to this as a kid as well!!! My mom LOVED these guys, idk why her music taste is kinda garbage now but it is what it is 🤣🤣
Heard this song when I was younger. Really liked it. Then not long ago I sought help for alcoholism. I was hospitalized. The level of withdrawal should have killed me. But I asked for help before it was too late.
Now hearing this song again, it resonates deeper. It's simple lyrics, but I get it now. Self medicating, no matter the drug, is a result of something deeper. But most folks only see "your obsession" the drugs and the problems it causes. But my problems started long before who I've become. And in order to get the help I need, I can't hide these things from you. I need you to understand. Cuz I need your help. I'm not a monster, I'm not in control. And I don't understand... I had the best intentions. Should that be changed? And could I even?
You know what I appreciate most about you two that I haven't seen anyone really seen mentioned much, or at all?
I appreciate that you listen to the entire song uncut and uninterrupted. There's nothing I hate more than watching someone pause a song 13 times within 5 seconds of the song because it completely drags you out of the feeling the song gives you when you listen to it.
yes
100% agreed. Main reason I can't watch most reaction channels
Mori Story - That’s the point of a reaction tho man. You want to know how the person making the video thinks through out the song. If you only want their opinion after hearing the song it would be a song review
@@kingexclusivo I can see your point, but if the reaction is someone trailing off talking about things that have nothing to do with the actual song after the singer has said 4 words, it's not so much a reaction as it is an interruption, no?
Not so much an interruption for people watching the video, but one for the person having the experience.
A bit like talking through a movie, not really going to catch what's going on or get caught up in the experience if you're chatting through the whole thing.
Beautiful by ten years is probably one of there best
AJewBag89 please do 10 years
AJewBag89 beautiful
Feel like you guys would really like the band flyleaf.
Definitely. I've kinda avoided mentioning them because it's not the genre of music they do often and I don't think they're popular with the whole village but V&S would definitely love them
@@silverkyrie4714 fly leaf are amazing . if you havent heard lacy strum solo album you should check it out it is awesome just my opinion .
@@codyshafer6881 I have! I enjoyed it quite a bit
OMG, they definitely should do flyleaf
@@ashly6083 I'd love to see them react to "I'm so sick"
I just saw 10 Years in late 2018 (opening for Seether). They were amazing live! Great energy, vocals, and musiscianship. Also, great new album.
10 years is one of my favorite bands. I saw them in April 2022. They sound amazing even more than 20 years into their careers
All Around Me - Flyleaf
That’s a Christian song btw ;)
@@missmaryfabela98 yeah they'd like it
10 years is still touring & doing well. Saw them last month in Houston, they'll be back in a couple months, go see 'em again!! 🤘🏻😝🤘🏻
I love ❤️ ten years 👏👏👏👍👍👍thank you for playing them 👍👍👍
SPITE- Kingdom of Guts
Side note: prepare for the maximum amount of intensity both lyrically and instrumentally.
Edit: Reflections- Actias Luna Two totally opposite genres but you can feel the emotions from both artists.
This was one of the first songs I heard when I was getting into metal. I heard it on this Headbangers Ball CD, a compilation of metal songs, along with a lot of other great music. Good stuff, and nostalgic for me.
10 Years - Dying Youth
Y'all should do the whole album because it's amazing.
Flawless beginning to end
These guys were my first concert!! Lol makes me think of the days where all I listened to was this, Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, and Red! Definitely should do the band Red at some point!!
Holy fuck yes. 10 years is my favorite band. There are so many amazing songs by the band.
Wow I remember going to one of the shows in Milwaukee for the same tour Vin is talking about. 10 Years, Mudvayne, and Korn back in 2006 when they were doing the See You on the Other Side tour. Great show
I freakin love this song. Nice pick Leah
Thank you Jason 😊
@@robotmechanic7471 The instrumental is the end of the song Cast It Out.
PANTERA: THROES OF REJECTION!
Much love guys.
Power Trip - Divine Apprehension
Power Trip - Hornet’s Nest
Power Trip - Crucifixation
Please
Hell... Anything by Power Trip. haha.. Or better.. Do a Power Trip Discovery Review Stream.
They have an ACOUSTIC ALBUM SORI! They came to Albuquerque and did the entire Autumn Effect Album in Acoustic and it was amazing! Try the songs through the iris or proud of you.
One of my favorite bands.. how have I not seen this!? 10 years is one of those bands that don’t get recognized often because they’ve stuck to their unique style, more pot grunge bands!
This song takes me back. What a great song
This video is the perfect example of how lyrics and songs can be interpreted in many different ways to speak to many different people in different circumstances. I've never looked at this song in the way that you guys did because I did some research and found out that it was about the singers cousin who was addicted to drugs (silver hollow sliver aka a needle), but I definitely am going to see the song in the way that you guys did now.
Oh, and if you really liked this song and especially that intro, 10 Years always does things like that where they very smartly and smoothly transition from one song to the next on an album. It makes listening to their albums in their entirety very pleasant. They really do that on a lot of their albums, but 'The Autumn Effect' album was my favorite.
How about dissecting some Rise Against? Prayer of the Refugee or Re-education through Labor, both good songs.
They've gotten worse as they went along, but their middle few albums are classics
Yes! This!
Rise Against doesnt get anywhere bear as much love as they should. Give it All, I dont wanna be here anymore, heroes of war. The list is endless
Played with them at the boardwalk in Sacramento almost 10 years ago lol....great guys...good music
10 years!!!!
Jesse hassek, the vocalist for 10 years, used to have dreads back in the day. He has them shaved off now.
This song was about drug addiction and losing a loved one or being afraid of losing a loved one to it. It was inspired by the lead singers (I think it was the lead singer) cousin, child actor Brad Renfro who died of a heroin overdose at a very young age. At least that is what I read somewhere at the time the song came out.
Valhalla- Blind Guardian live. You guys will love it
Iron Maiden - Empire of the Clouds
The video is really moving. It really goes with the song so well. I suggest if anyone has not seen it check out the original video. The song Beautiful by 10 Years is a great song too. God Bless you all.
OMG I forgot about this song THANK YOU SO MUCH
I found 10 years at The Family Values tour with Mudvayne as well, and was in awe how Jesse Hassek sounded live, bought the album from them directly, to this day Autumn Effect is one of my favorite albums ever, to this day 10 Years puts out truly great music.
Man I saw these guys live last year along with Stone Temple Pilots and A Perfect Circle. They were probably my favorite act at the show. It was at KFMA day 2018. So good man, they know how to put on a show. Go see them if you can.
Edit, the song is about the vocalists cousin who struggled with drug abuse. The original video actually featured his cousin but something happened with the video and they had to change it. But it's about drug abuse.
Novembers Doom - Autumn Reflection
Doooooooom!!!
Doomed To Failure - Protector :)
I think the silver hollow sliver is a reference to a needle. That combined with the line “limbs tied, skin tight” is referring to shooting up. I feel the song either refers to drug abuse or someone turning to drugs as an escape to their “living wasteland”.
Metallica - Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth) Live Chicago 1983 ( 4 min Cliff Burton bass solo )
Love how u all just listen to the song and feel it
The music video adds so much more depth to the lyrics
I really like this whole album. Used to go running to it. My fav is through the iris
Down - bury me in smoke
Such a good song!!! You should check out Sixx AM the Heroin Diaries album
OMG, you Guys Reacted to this Band.
Can't believe I missed this upload!! 10 Years is a great band with many great songs; I've always felt a TooL/Maynard vibe from this band/singer.
I saw 10 Years with Korn touring the Family Values tour 2004ish I think it was.
I never knew who did this song LOL. I thought it was Breaking Benjamin or something. I dunno I kinda agree with Vin. Its very one dimensional chuggy to me. But I'll certainly take this over Ghost.
This sounds nothing like Breaking Benjamin. Though to be fair this is the stuff I listened to in elementary school, so I'm pretty familiar with it and can tell the differences easier. I see how it'd all blend together.
Though if I remember they did have much better songs than this and it's just their main radio single. It's been pretty long so I might be wrong though.
I'm pretty sure the song is about the singers cousin that was a drug addict. He wrote multiple songs about it, Russian roulette, proud of you
It is, if I remember right he was on heroin. It was hinted at many times in the song with the most obvious being "Silver hollow sliver" aka the needle. Not sure how they missed the drug angle but I guess they got on that one idea and just stuck to it.
@@1104Tea yeah all good tho. Hopefully they see this.
Yes it was about his cousin Brad Renfro who died of a heroin overdose. He was a pretty well known child actor.
Please more 10 years! They are wayyyy slept on
You guys should try gemini syndrome. They have such a great vocalist and I think you guys would enjoy there music. It's touching and heartfelt. Maybe even some king 810 for some raprock. I don't see alot of you guys reviewing much of that. Etown concrete also. The so g so many nights. You would not expect that. All those I mentioned you'd have a great time with.
thanks i love this band and this song
Ayeeee I finally found you guys!! My mom watches y'all all the time and I couldn't remember the damn name of yalls channel but this is awesome af definently subscribing now so I don't lose y'all again lol
U should also listen to "Through the Iris" by 10 years.
Great song.
10 years beautiful
@vinandsori I have something in mind that I know that you will love! It will remind you of nightwish and Mozart,
Rhapsody of fire - the magic of the wizard's dream (featuring actor Christopher Lee) I highly suggest that song!
Great song! I haven't listened to this one is a very long time. Thanks guys!
La Dispute - King Park
covers a lot of relevant topics in one song.
Hope you can react to it since i dont think a song like this gets a chance in the voting system.
Would mean a lot.
I actually feel like La Dispute will definitely come up eventually in the alliance picks! I See Everything has already come up in polls for two separate alliances and done well in each, just hasn't won yet. But I definitely think we'll get to them, hopefully soon as they're my personal favorite band.
@@somethingelsedoesmatter 10 Years on empty. Maybe more?
Guys, That Intro to this Song is Rare. I Never Knew About or Heard it until that Part of this Video. I’m gonna have to step up on my Research or Search. So its a Rare Piece of their Music i Guess.
Junk head by Alice In Chains
Yessssssssssss!
I love this song, so both correct.
My Name is Human by Highly Suspect
Yes!
I saw them live with Korn back in 05 or 06
Same, with the Family Values tour.
Love this band. They have been one of my favorites for years. Still make great music!
When vin gives that brow. He approves.
First time I heard them was back up for Korn, in 2006. In australia
I knew this song, always liked it. I never knew who sang it, or heard the beginning guitar intro...thank you for doing this reaction
I think you all's interpretation is spot on and I didn't understand it that way myself before listening to you all.
You guys should check out their song Paralyzing Kings. You will not be disappointed!! Especially being followers of God... Let's just say the way a "certain story" is told with the song you guys will definitely like it!
These two are so funny together
I actually didn't really give this album a chance until like 2014 lol. I knew this song, and that was about it. It was a little too mellow for me in 2005. But I fucking LOVE this album now. The title track (The Autumn Effect) gets stuck in my head all the time and tends to stay there for days at a time.
BTW, KoRn and AIC are touring with Underoath who was a band that kind of launched a wave of Christian metal (or metal-ish) bands back around 2004-2005 that all got pretty big. You could argue As I Lay Dying started that, but I feel like Underoath was marketed more as a Christian band than AILD.
The little dialogue after the song ended was so funny. Love y’all.
Wait... you are from the Dirty Lew? I'm shooketh.
I was there also. Thought it was a great show!!!! Yes sir the band was walking around the crowd
“DONT YOU TRY AN TELL ME!”😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Autumn Effect is one the best albums to come out of the mid 00's. It's such a good album. Wasteland, Faultline, Through the Iris, Waking up, Paralyzing Kings......
The great discord is a great band with songs like "Darkest Day", "Omen", and "The Aging Man" which has an acoustic version
I think it was written about one of the band members cousin that had a drug addiction.
I see her, very slow beginning. Him is like start ok.
You should check out beautiful, fix me , Russian roulette , so long this is goodbye they have those in acoustic which are fantastic
I came up on this video so I have no idea what content u put out but I had to subscribe immediately because you reviewed this beautiful song and actually listened to it without interruption, I wish youd do the videos because the video is even better , I apologize if you do do that already tho ❤❤🤟
SARCASTROPHE BY SLIPKNOT!!
Or, Eyeless?
Seen them in 2015 with Shamen's Harvest, Nothing More, and Chevelle(headliner).. 10 years played before Chevelle and had the crowd hype the whole time..did pretty much the entire last song on top of the crowd(someone stole his sock lol) ..when Chevelle got on, they came with about a 1.5 on the energy scale for about 6 seconds, then dropped down to a 0.4-1.0 for the remainder of the show ..... 10 Years killed it, Chevelle put us to bed early.
Apocalyptica - I’m Not Jesus (feat. Corey Taylor)... since you guys brought up the church...
Architects- Doomsday
Architects- Hereafter
Architects- This Distant Blue (Fan made lyric video)
Architects- Alpha Omega
Architects- Broken Cross
You guys will be blown away and they will stimulate your brain
Hey Vin, got a movie recommendation for you. Lords of Chaos. It's about Mayhem, the original black metal band.
I got into hard rock/metal in 05 when this band was getting big. Evans blue is another band at that time that i don't know what happened to them but worth checking out
Gwar - rock n roll never felt so good
It was Korn Deftones and ten years it was 2005 family values tour
November Doom : Autumn Reflection
Great reaction! Love ya Sori!!!
It would be cool if you revisited 10 Years and listened to a new song off the newest album. I bet you guys would love Cut the Cord or Waiting
If this is Wasteland, whole thing
Saw these guys live on tour with disturbed, hatebreed and korn. They put on an awesome show. Fautline is another good song by them.
Watch Pearl Jam go hard with Why Go @ Pinkpop 1992!
That's a great one. Eddie went apeshit that day.
Going to the show in August. Can't wait
A Perfect Cirle Jr.
