Part 1: • Restoring and repairin...
I'm lost! I have 1 wheel that won't reset to a firm number 0 or reset at all sometimes actually. It's just a little off or fails. It's the 100's on a 1975 Gottlieb Spin Out. I'm unable to start a game because if it. Do you think just cleaning the white plastic and the coil is enough or is it more of an alignment issue? If so how/what do I do? lol I I need help....haha Never torn one of these apart. I did notice the other 3 wheels have that tan cover and this one does not.
Nice vid of the Decagon score reel work.
Would be very helpful if you made a closeup of the 0 and 9 switch triplet (about 4:04) when the reel is on the 0 position, then any of the 1-8 positions, and on the 9 position.
As you have found out by now, the switch leaf load on the mechanism is significant as the reel moves from 8 into 9, and from 9 into 0. Maladjusted switch leaves can overpower the springs ability to move the reel into next position.
Get a schematic.
Where should I look if a spinner target is scoring incorrectly, its scoring 1000 pts instead of 15 pts on player one and two ?
I can't get the red balls in the score board to do anything any ideas?
Check the coil that fires the ball and any contacts on relays that fire it.
