    Well done! One of the few on YT actually using a Les Paul with P90s just as Gilmour did on recording. He used his 55' Gold Top, but damn...you nailed the tone and feel. The P90s really add that special sauce. Great job!

    • @cryptoskywalker6000

      The only drawback of this video is that now I can't play it on anything other a Les Paul with P90's. The whole thing suddenly sounds an octave low on my Les Paul.😅 I've been tweaking my EQ, and every other tone nob and pedal I have ever since I first saw this vid. It's been an unmitigated disaster. I can't play Gilmour anymore. I sound like a fraud.
      The irony is that I only recently learned maybe a month ago that Gilmour played this on a Les Paul with P90's. Otherwise I'd already own one, instead of my 335. I tried it on my 335. It didn't help. This video has sent me down the rabbit hole in search of my lost tone. Eff.

    • @AlexandreFagundes
      @AlexandreFagundes  4 роки тому +1

      This is an interesting thought, the thing is we learn music by copying the same way we learn how to talk, we hear and we replicate, even when we don't know what our first words and sentences means exactly. We are always derivative, and so are our idols, because they tried to emulate someone at the beginning, they are the derivative of their influencies. So I don't do these videos to show how good I am, I do these for the same purpose you said it in your comment, to show how good these guys are and so others can learn and improve their musical and guitar skills by emulate them, and then you move on but now with a richer vocabulary, thanks for your comment and support ;)

    Primeira vez que ouço uma versão com uma Gibson que faz jus ao Gilmour. Vc é um músico diferenciado.

      Valeu Rodrigo, muito obrigado! Achei que nesse caso faria sentido usar uma LP pelo fato de que o Gilmour gravou esse solo com uma LP 1954 com os famosos P90, então a partir daí ficou mais fácil chegar próximo ao timbre original. ;)

    Sou um caçador de "guitar lessons" do Pink Floyd no UA-cam e você, meu Caro, é definitivamente o melhor. E digo isso não apenas em relação ao timbre, mas também quanto à pegada e a fidelidade dos solos (muitos solos que encontramos na internet são mais improvisos que qualquer outra outra coisa).
    Faz um vídeo de Shine on Crazy Diamond (pt. 1-5), pois os do UA-cam estão sofríveis.. rsrsrsrs..

      Muito obrigado Thiago! Fico muito feliz com o seu elogio ainda mais de um profundo conhecedor da obra do Floyd! Pode crer que vou levar a sua sugestão em consideração! Muito obrigado! :)
