Lovely tank! Question I currently have 5 big tetra 2 electric blue rams and 5 firemouth plus 3 oto algae eaters in a 20 gal long tank is that overstocked ?
@@icedemon1515 yeah I’d agree I’m upgrading to a much larger tank this weekend when I’m of work, the 2 blue rams didn’t make it not sure why one died yesterday then the other today
@@stupacshakur8279 There are always so many factors it could be PH This is the PH those fish need blue ram pH of 5.5 - 6.5 oto's need pH: 6.8 - 7.5 pH Firemouth ranging between 6.5-8.0. I would assume the Rams probably were living in to high of PH and eventually just kind of died due to stress. I mean I am not really there so I don't know, but if I had to take a guess that is what I would say. The only reason I say PH is because the species is the only information I have from what you said, and I feel a tank crash would of killed the otos first.
@@icedemon1515 yeah I was thinking ph but when I had the water tested it was fine the shop that sold the fish said I could add them to the tank and just to do a 25% water change after adding them I had them on live blood worms that’s what I feed my betta he’s in a 30 litre also feed them to the firemouth and Columbia tetra, I contacted the shop they said it most likely died of a parasite in the blood worms and to get frozen from now on, I’m only new to the fish hobby so I don’t know a lot.
The assistant coach claims his tank is more natural appearing than Donovan’s, and I think he is right! Nice job as well choosing interesting Tanganyikans. He seems quite intelligent and well-read. I would love to see his other tanks!

African cichlids very beautiful fish i wish i the space for a big tane but i don't i only have a 75 Gallons with about 8 sevrums of different colors and i happy my fish is happy and my looks Amazing thanks for sharing cichlids bro's 👍👍
It calmls me down seeing that you also have this annoying cyanos in your tank, Dude! I think shelldwellers and espacially the snailshells are "magnets" for the cyanos...
Always love seeing well done Tanganyika tanks...
It got us thinking about setting one up ourselves!
@@CichlidBros That would be AWESOME. There are not many quality UA-cam channels with Lake Tanganyika content. Malawi channels seem to dominate UA-cam
That is a really cool aquarium. Frontosa are such a beautiful fish.
Agreed! I think we need to get a Tanganyika tank now!
The idea of a frontosa and tropheus tank that the coach had sounds pretty cool. Would love to see that

Really amazing tank
Great video and interview with Coach Cotter!
Thank you!

Thanks! I would definitely recommend a larger tank. I would suggest at least a 55 gallon with that stocking
Honestly the 20 long should really only be able to house the 2 electric blue rams.

Stunning tank mate.
Thanks for watching!

Working your way up! The next "tanked" show, only better
Appreciate that! 👊🏻👊🏻
awesome video as always
Thanks!
Coach has style 😎
🤙🏼🤙🏼
Lov this 👍👍👍
Beautiful tank, hope to see it again when the fish are bigger!
You do need way more shells though 😱
Looking good 👍👍👍
Thanks!
Yes it’s gorgeous like all the others
👍🏻👍🏻
🤩 wow! Such a cool down to earth guy… love the tank and the scape! I will do Africans again at some point 💯 Great video my bros !!!
Thanks, Sean! It was awesome to hang with Damian and check out the tank. Definitely made us start thinking about a Tanganyika tank!
What a nice tank. Tell him to paint the back of the tank black to make everything pop!! :)
Beautiful aquarium indeed
It was cool to see for sure!
I am overrun with multies right now. I'd always wanted then and was so excited when I got them. Now stressed due to nobody wanting them😮
Just subscribed because "you guys know how to get things!"
Nice I have a 40g with 4 leleupis, 3 julies transcriptus and 1 gold face compressiceps. The julies are nice i'd add some to his tank.
Nice tank. I propose black background
I think it looks good with the backlight on, it just wasn’t working that day. I usually prefer black though
WOuld love an update on fish growth, etc....
Yes ... 1️⃣
WB for the win. Looks familiar 7225
Definitely a quality tank
Fronts will love those shellies...
Any bets on what fish will jump into the carpet first.
I'm voting on the comp.
He said he had a lid coming … and the Shellies do just fine in a proper set up

have you ever kept ellioti cichlids before. i got a small one today which i love
We've kept many firemouths in the past but not ellioti yet. Would like to at some point
Can you keep Shell dwellers with peacocks?
I wouldn’t recommend it. Once peacocks are adults they’ll likely pick off the shellies
No quarantine the fish ? Straight into his tank 😳
They came from my aquarium…
@@CichlidBros that’s good 😊 sorry
@@wendyhood1006 all good!
What type of lights do he have
AI Prime Lights - amzn.to/35yWwA8
Add a black background please. It will hide the wires and the fish will stand out
He should add some Cyprichromis Leptosomas!
I think he was going to add some!
Open top tank. Your kidding right?

Everything super nice, but dude the kabels.... quite distracting
Scape is just ok. Lack of a background and seeing all the wires an equipment takes away from any “natural” look.
I don’t think he’s done adding to the tank. Also the background is foggy grey but it also has backlit LEDs that come on and change colors
Paint the background people
It is a fog grey background with an color changing background
Ow dear, I fell for it again... The thumbnail click bait.
The video is literally the thumbnail 🤡
A bit bare and not very interesting apart from the fish IMO.
Once the fish grow, it definitely won’t be bare. Will try to film updates later on
Water box for Ballers. Literally.
Haha 👌🏻
