I totally agree on your take on the theme of “scholastic vs monastic” in Princess Zelda’s character arc. What happened 100 years before Breath of the Wild is not her fault. If King Rhoam had of been more supportive of his daughter instead being so damn cold to her or allow her to research on the guardians & Divine Beasts, the second Calamity would have been prevented. I think they had multiple games planned from the beginning. That being said, it's hard for me to believe that skyward sword would be the first game in that trilogy, even though you've laid out your case out very well. You have made me realize that Zelda games have much more attention to detail in the writing than I remember! I'm going to examine the writing differently when I replay the games now, so thanks! Thank You!!! All the evidence points to him writing it this way- the creative process is a complicated thing- as an artist you can have an overall vision or direction you want to take in a series of projects- like an outline - and later get into the details.... I do believe this was the plan from the start. ❤️💙💚
Skyward Sword development started in 2006! And the story could’ve been in Fujibayashi’s head even before then! Crazy to think that the full picture of “The Legend of Zelda” might be fully realized after a decades long wait.
I think tears if the kingdom will also be alot about fear because power: symbolizes the ability to over come physical challenges and enemies using strength. Wisdom: the ability to over come puzzles and brain teasers to uncover mysteries and information. And courage: the ability to over come fear and anxiety to do what is right or necessary. Also they added much more monsters and caves to tears of the kingdom as apposed to the others 2 because of fear
If this game is truly going to focus on Link’s spiritual development, then we as players will be forced to act with courage. I expect the game will throw us at totally insane boss fights that we’re unseen in BOTW. The Gleeok is an example of this that we already know will be in the game. BOTW had NOTHING like that monster. Also just the fact that Link doesn’t have a functional master sword, and must instead craft weapons using fuse, makes his actions all the more courageous. I think this will be awesome as it will truly make us feel like the hero in the story-which when you boil this game series down is it’s entire point: to make us feel like the hero in the story.
I haven't listened to any Zelda theory and have it be this neatly tied up with a bow and all. Youve sold me on this idea. There are just too many of these clues for it to be mere coincidence now. Thank for making such a great video!
I am thrilled you decided to make a long form video for all these connections in the series I was trying to compile all your shorts to send to a friend but it was getting out of hand 😂
So I said my mind was blown in the short of this comments but now its really exploding. If this theory is correct which it’s pretty obvious it is, it could explain a lot of the little hidden things we’ve seen in the trailers. Also if your last theory about all three working together to defeat demise and end the timeline could explain why Gannondorf has a tear of the kingdom. This is one of the best theory videos I’ve ever seen and it is going to really effect my thoughts as I go through ToTK.
Ngl, this was the best theory video I’ve seen yet. You bodied this, and the connections you’ve made are like super spot on. I deff believe every word you spoke
I’m kind of in awe by this observation and commend you for making this!! It makes me a smidge sad that we won’t get a true trilogy game in the shape of the BotW look, but wow, this video is mind blowing
The new colour theory could also relate to the elements associated with the three goddesses, like magenta fire, cyan ice, and yellow electricity, there’s a side quest in tears of the kingdom that supports this which is interestingly the most quest to get the goddess sword
I agree with this theory. However, I do not think that you will fight with Ganondorf, because in SS it clearly states this phrase "Those like you... Those who share the blood of the goddess and the spirit of the hero... They are eternally bound to this curse. An incarnation of my hatred shall ever follow your kind, dooming them to wander a blood-soaked sea of darkness for all time!" The key part of this is eternally bound. I don't think it is truly possible to break this curse, but I don't think Ganondorf would have been bad without Demise's curse. I think at its true form, Demise is pure malice, as shown in BOTW with Calamity Ganon. I think TOTK will show the true fusing of malice back to its rightful owner, Demise, ergo Ganondorf will be fused to a form (in my opinion) more powerful than Demise itself.
honestly really great video and theory, really good editing too, the only slight issue is that at times the music is louder than your voice and you are a little hard to hear, can't wait for more theories and ideas after tommorows 10 minutes of gameplay
This video is such an awesome analysis! It got me thinking about how the series all ties together... and for me, it can broken out into three trilogies (very Star Wars I know)... Tale of Courage: The Legend of Zelda / A Link to the Past / Link's Awakening Tale of Power: Ocarina of Time / Majora's Mask / The Windwaker or Twilight Princess Tale of Wisdom: Skyward Sword / Breath of the Wild / Tears of the Kingdom
The idea that TotK is about courage just fills me with excitement. That could mean the courage to face stronger and more badass enemies. Man, the lack of monster variety and average monster AI really threw me off in BOTW.
@@TyshaggyGaming that is true! Enemy attack patterns take less than 5 minutes to memorise and it will carry you from early until the end. Maybe a better monster AI as the monster progresses through levels and become faster. But i think devs won't prioritise that too much given that Zelda's focus isn't really advanced combat.
Awesome video. I have seen similar theories put forth, but I think this goes much more in detail than anything I've seen yet. That is a great point about Age of Calamity. I have been playing through it with my kids. We have really enjoyed the game and I've got to say that I'm very impressed. I am really surprised that most people forget about it, but it has a much more fleshed out story than Breath of the Wild in my opinion.
I don't remember seeing too much red & power symbolism in skyward sword but I agree with botw having wisdom & blue themes and totk having courage & green themes, my guess would be that either age of calamity (action musou game) or the next zelda game would be the final piece that represents power & red
And what were Fujibayashi’s first Zelda games? Oracle of Ages and Seasons - the first time Nintendo tried to do the triforce trilogy thing. Back then, the triforce of courage oriented third game got snubbed.
I think the theory is super great and a really awesome take, and even well put together, but it does feel like the pacing is off. Every point feels like it was sort of quickly spoken through to get to the next one, and maybe that’s to help create quick-form content for reels and shorts, but I also think part of it is some lines/connections/points made that didn’t really add a lot and felt a little like pulling at strings. I think picking and choosing the strong points and guiding the viewer in a more paced and story-telling way of presenting it and you’re golden, other than that really really great!
I’m thinking part of what made me feel that is also the clips used. I’d say to try picking key moments of clips from the games and letting them play out, rather than having everything be sped up, as it can be a little disorienting and make you as a viewer feel like there’s a need to get through the video rather than really experience it.
I don’t know it seem like your pulling from something that isn’t really there. It possible to name lots of blue things isn TotK too I don’t really think there is a Connection
I really enjoyed this video! The theory was very interesting, and I loved the way you presented it. However, I found the music to be a bit too loud at times. I would have appreciated it if the music had been a bit quieter so that I could hear you more clearly. Overall, great video!
I thought I had turned it down enough and then realized I didn’t - my aim for perfection is It’s haunting me about it - hopefully the next one is better
@@naydinfar I can see you have a high standard for your videos, and I appreciate that. But don't let one small mistake get you down. Everyone makes mistakes, and it's how we learn and grow. So keep up the good work, and don't be so hard on yourself. I'm sure your viewers appreciate your hard work, and they're just as excited to see what you come up with next as I am
I completely agree. I think Tears of the Kingdom is a sequel to Breath of the Wild and also a prequel to Skyward Sword. The legend of Zelda is a loop, as established in Skyward Sword. I think in this world time itself is also a giant loop, and so the legends in Skyward Sword refer to the events in Tears of the Kingdom.
you speak SO fast woah! i love this style, i can't get bored at all in it, and it's super engaging. i haven't explored the zonai ruins you mentioned at the spring of courage and the leviathan bones in the gerudo desert, but now I really wanna do so to see what's different there
9:45 I wonder why so many people resist the Hebra Leviathan being the Ocean King. Yes, it is a weird skeleton, but it is clearly meant to be a whale. And for the purposes of this theory, he works just as well as Jabun. He's the only whale related guardian spirit that actually resides in and is heavily tied to water. And his symbol is even reminiscent of one-thirds of Nayru's crest.
I'd like to see an update of this video after playing TOTK... You just reference the trailer of that game, but now that we all played I'd like to see what you could find on this game
Have you seen the symbols on the gerudos pants looks like the magnet symbols in the lanaryu mining faccility. I also think think symbol is on the barbarian helmet.
And for Splatoon, the upcoming Splatfest is a Power, Wisdom, and Courage theme for the upcoming game and this theory makes so much sense. Now I need a copy Skyword Sword to play. I never got to play it before. I had wondered if there was a connection when it was released for the Switch and it having sky islands like TOTK. Fantastic video.
Demise was the fallen hero of Lorule. Him and his armies came through a crack in the ground to Hyrule, that is his canonical origin, explained to us in Skyward Sword. In Link Between Worlds, when we fall through cracks in the ground, we enter Lorule, and back again. In Lorule, they have people that seem to be the opposite of Hyrules people. Zelda is wise. Her opposite is Princess Hilda, whose royal family destroyed their Triforce to stop the wars. Not very wise, as that only made things worse and plunged Lorule into chaos, and its denizens transformed into monsters. Links is courageous. His opposite was Rafio, who was cowardly and ran away from battle. He actively hid from danger, he preferred the safety of being a merchant. But what about the third person, Ganondorf? I theorize it’s Demise. Let me explain. Lorules triforce is depicted as inverted, the point is downward. Where else do we see that image? On Demises sword. Demises sword has a spirit in it, Ghirahim. The Master sword has Fi. Ghirahim in his final battle and Demise in his second even has his own Skyward Strike. Demise died and cursed “The Spirit of the Hero” and “The Blood of the Goddess Hylia” to reincarnate until he wins (Link and Zelda, with himself). But what about Demise? Why didn’t he resurrect? I think that’s because his body isn’t from Hyrule. So his soul reincarnated into his bodys opposite, the one naturally from Hyrule. Ganondorf. Let’s remember they all had opposites from hyrule/lorule. It would make sense that demise, king of demons, firey red hair, would reincarnate into Ganondorf, king of the gerudo. Ganondorf would have otherwise been a good and benevolent ruler, we see hints of this in Wind Waker when he talks about how he wants the green fields of Hyrule for his people, the Gerudo. But of course he went all evil, i theorize, because of the influence of the spirit of Demise reincarnated into him. I want the end of the cycle, the end of the curse, to free him of Demise, and the three of them defeat Demise.
Hey also, there is a UA-camr, very small channel, that has done the extra credit sized homework, like you. His name is Wiz fights lighting. Maybe you want to check it out and share notes. You both are Uber talented.
This is genuinely one of the most well-structured and coherent takes on the overarching narrative of the most recent games. Pardon my rambling, but I think you really have something here. I think people are a little too fixated on some of the older console games and their scattered, often inconsistent, lore to see that this is a specific writer’s addition that spans multiple games and encompasses the series’ themes in a more coherent way. I think that each game’s relation specifically to time and the way Link interacts with the world are also indicative of your theory. In Skyward Sword, the power of time travel is utilized to achieve the goals of the story, just as the emphasis is on the power of the triforce and the power of the sword and the power of the flames. It also involves the physical aspects of the world more than anything (Din). BotW involves more manipulation of the world around Link rather than exertion of power over it. By stopping time, for instance, it allows for redirection and a change of force, which utilizes power, but emphasizes the use of the player’s intellect as to what to do with it. Link himself was frozen in time until he was healed and was then left to go in whichever direction he chose. But in that game, there was a clear objective, an end goal to all of the puzzles that were the shrines and indeed survival within the map itself. All of these using specific laws (Nayru) and an emphasis on physics (laws of motion, magnetism, etc). Now, with Link’s new abilities revealed, we see a change towards something more transformative and relating to creation, closer to what Farore represents. Time in this case is actively manipulated through power, and with wisdom, but beyond static laws and into something more organic, more alive. Also, Link’s new outfit very literally includes green once more and the sky islands are all in magnificent shades of yellow, with the green Hyrule spread below. Finally, there’s Link’s willingness to toss aside the familiar Master Sword and leap into the abyss to save Zelda, to, and this is my conjecture obviously, take on a mysterious new power that isn’t something specifically set before him to use with clear purpose like the Sword, with Fi’s careful instructions, or the Slate, with it’s more mechanical purpose. This power literally becomes one with him. It sort of feels like an evolution of Link as an active character within the plot. Again, this is just me throwing things out there, but this video really had me thinking. It makes so much more sense to look at it thematically since the games as a whole spend so much focus on theme
Imagine years after humanity goes extinct, all we have is the Zelda Lore books and aliens think that Zelda was actual history.

Love it! Ganondorf redemption arc, let's goooo!
I will be so happy if that happens- they foreshadowed it more than one so let’s seeeee 😂
could you imagine link doing combined attacks with zelda and ganondorf?
i am fully convinced and love your videos, they always make me see things about the zelda game that i never would've alone. Thank you!
Awe thank you so much for your kind words 💚
@@naydinfar No problem , after all you make amzing videos :)
I haven't listened to any Zelda theory and have it be this neatly tied up with a bow and all. Youve sold me on this idea. There are just too many of these clues for it to be mere coincidence now. Thank for making such a great video!
Yas I’m so glad I made some sort of sense in my madness 😂
I am thrilled you decided to make a long form video for all these connections in the series I was trying to compile all your shorts to send to a friend but it was getting out of hand 😂
So I said my mind was blown in the short of this comments but now its really exploding. If this theory is correct which it’s pretty obvious it is, it could explain a lot of the little hidden things we’ve seen in the trailers. Also if your last theory about all three working together to defeat demise and end the timeline could explain why Gannondorf has a tear of the kingdom.
This is one of the best theory videos I’ve ever seen and it is going to really effect my thoughts as I go through ToTK.
there's a kid in BOTW that dreams of sky island, that want you to attach a balloon to a barrel
I’ve never thought about this before but honestly it makes a lot of sense and makes me even more excited for the game of courage !
Age of Calamity: "Am i a joke to you?"
No I address Age of Calamity at the end of the video
Ngl, this was the best theory video I’ve seen yet. You bodied this, and the connections you’ve made are like super spot on. I deff believe every word you spoke
Thank you!! Ah what a great compliment- hopefully I can keep making videos people enjoy 💚
Your analysis is really interesting! Great work!
Thank You 💚
I wish this video was twice as long - I crave more interesting evidence and parallels. Thanks
I’m kind of in awe by this observation and commend you for making this!!
It makes me a smidge sad that we won’t get a true trilogy game in the shape of the BotW look, but wow, this video is mind blowing
true the fact that it rains in botw really convinced me!
The new colour theory could also relate to the elements associated with the three goddesses, like magenta fire, cyan ice, and yellow electricity, there’s a side quest in tears of the kingdom that supports this which is interestingly the most quest to get the goddess sword
Wow, that video was great! And make a lot of sense! I never saw all those details even when playing and reading and even exploring. Thanks!
You deserve way more respect and credit after this bombshell of a video. Amazing, simply amazing 👏
Idk, I just want Ghirahim to come back. Best villain imo👌
This theory is cool and all but honestly a very big stretch
One of the best theories I've heard so far. Great vid
Omg you are too kind thank you 💚
honestly really great video and theory, really good editing too, the only slight issue is that at times the music is louder than your voice and you are a little hard to hear, can't wait for more theories and ideas after tommorows 10 minutes of gameplay
I know it didn’t come out as planned I’ll just have to be more careful next time and maybe upload privately first to check the volumes
This video is such an awesome analysis! It got me thinking about how the series all ties together... and for me, it can broken out into three trilogies (very Star Wars I know)... Tale of Courage: The Legend of Zelda / A Link to the Past / Link's Awakening
Tale of Power: Ocarina of Time / Majora's Mask / The Windwaker or Twilight Princess
Tale of Wisdom: Skyward Sword / Breath of the Wild / Tears of the Kingdom
The idea that TotK is about courage just fills me with excitement. That could mean the courage to face stronger and more badass enemies. Man, the lack of monster variety and average monster AI really threw me off in BOTW.
I’m so excited after seeing the gameplay footage 😆
I hope they make the enemy paterns less predictable, after a while it gets easy to dodge =(
@@TyshaggyGaming that is true! Enemy attack patterns take less than 5 minutes to memorise and it will carry you from early until the end.
Maybe a better monster AI as the monster progresses through levels and become faster.
But i think devs won't prioritise that too much given that Zelda's focus isn't really advanced combat.
All of these theories you've been doing is spot on!
Keep doing great!
Thank You 😊
Oh boy you're going to need a whole tube of Bengay after all that stretching...
At 6:45, the "broomstick" I think was confirmed to be a Suzu, a sort of bell chime, found in Shinto shrines.
Thank you! I hope we get a a really deep story in TOTk 💚
I love Calamity. I never played that type of game and fell in love with it.
I don't remember seeing too much red & power symbolism in skyward sword but I agree with botw having wisdom & blue themes and totk having courage & green themes, my guess would be that either age of calamity (action musou game) or the next zelda game would be the final piece that represents power & red
I really like this.
Great video and theory.
(even if some bits were a slight stretch, but funny)
Looking forward to more content from yourself!
And what were Fujibayashi’s first Zelda games? Oracle of Ages and Seasons - the first time Nintendo tried to do the triforce trilogy thing. Back then, the triforce of courage oriented third game got snubbed.
I don’t know why people thought ganon was going to ever be a good guy
I found you through the shorts. I hope you make more lore videos when the game is out because I’m hyped for it and your videos are very well produced.
Thank you and I will one the game come out! I’ll also be streaming it 💚
I think the theory is super great and a really awesome take, and even well put together, but it does feel like the pacing is off.
Great Video! Keep up the great work ❤
We literally had an entire dungeon in the submerged leviathan lol
Great video 😍
Also love the epic fall at 6:11 😂
🤣 I can’t stop laughing about it - the first hit on his legs that made him somersault
Ikr, even the piano fit really well for all the hits
Lol and the fairies are really trying to help but there’s only so much they can do at this point
@@musicaldoodles9615 I did speed up my video to make it match 😂 I also sheikah bombed myself several times to get that epic ragdoll just right
@@naydinfar Oh dang, that's some nice effort 😳
The way my wig flew!!!!
Amazing video
Thank You 😊
Age of calamity will remember this and get revenge
Great video, and I love all your shorts, too! The amount of effort you put into these is amazing.
Thank you so much! I am trying to do my very best 💚💚💚 still learning and will hopefully continue to get better
I don’t know it seem like your pulling from something that isn’t really there. It possible to name lots of blue things isn TotK too I don’t really think there is a Connection
I really love this, great job!
A like these longer videos then the shorts
I worked really hard on this so I hope you enjoy it- definitely more room to explain theories 😂💚
Third time watching. . . ! More please !
Very colourful video
Great video! You have a new subscriber here 😊
I really enjoyed this video!
Ganondorf was never a puppet he was so bad that he became the curse the next bringer of demise same with vatii and that other guy in spirit tracks
Best theories I've found on YT, you surely are the best Zelda UA-camr I've ever seen!!!!
Awe that’s so kind! I think all the Zelda you tubers bring a great variety of style and ideas so that there’s some for everyone 💚
I completely agree. I think Tears of the Kingdom is a sequel to Breath of the Wild and also a prequel to Skyward Sword. The legend of Zelda is a loop, as established in Skyward Sword. I think in this world time itself is also a giant loop, and so the legends in Skyward Sword refer to the events in Tears of the Kingdom.
you speak SO fast woah! i love this style, i can't get bored at all in it, and it's super engaging. i haven't explored the zonai ruins you mentioned at the spring of courage and the leviathan bones in the gerudo desert, but now I really wanna do so to see what's different there
Underrated channel 👏🏿 your channel gonna get big 🙌🏾
Awe thank you for the support!! Excited for this new adventure on UA-cam 😂💚💚
I came to this video with an open mind but this theory just seems like a hodgepodge of coincidences held together with confirmation bias
To be fair we see him as Oshus for most of the game so a lot of people forget about his final form
@@apersonwhomayormaynotexist9868 Maybe so, but that is why good theory crafting requires a good amount of research.
It would be nice if we get a memory flashback of Link with his family before he went to be trained as a knight. Its Link's turn with his story.
Yes!!! That would be amazing... I was wondering if we would learn more about his family and younger years
@Naydinfar Yes. We've only got hints when Mipha was telling Link how she always heals him when he was a child. Let's get a backstory
I feel like if there was to be a “Triforce Trilogy”, then it would be Age of Calamity, Breath of the Wild, and Tears of the Kingdom.
That's more sensible, but I like SS, BoTW, ToTK better as the trilogy, as AoC is just a dynasty warriors reskin, and declared non-canon.
I'd like to see an update of this video after playing TOTK... You just reference the trailer of that game, but now that we all played I'd like to see what you could find on this game
This was a video to like before it even started. Love your work.
Oh thank you! I really tried to make this one the best I could… Still had some audio issues but I’m working on it
For future reference, Fi is derived from fidelity, so it’s pronounced like lye rather than fee.
Have you seen the symbols on the gerudos pants looks like the magnet symbols in the lanaryu mining faccility. I also think think symbol is on the barbarian helmet.
I hope we can see Fi again in Tears of the Kingdom.
Thus, make Princess Zelda playable in her own side story.
Yes I hope so! We do hear her voice in BOTW
This video is an instant subscribe from the moment the wisdom segment starts
Thank you so much!! Hope you enjoyed it 💚
glad YT show me your channel, i love your TLOZ and AC videos
Yay I’m so glad you found it! Welcome to the chaos 😂
Alright, settle down Ms Fantastic 😂
12:14 I don't think Ganon has ever been Demise's puppet.
It seems much more complicated than that. I dunno.
Hey also, there is a UA-camr, very small channel, that has done the extra credit sized homework, like you. His name is Wiz fights lighting. Maybe you want to check it out and share notes. You both are Uber talented.
I honestly prefer the Zelda stories that are more like side quests like majors mask or links awakening, it's nice to see link in different situations.
Yes we need better sidequest missions in TOTK- ones that drive the story- the best one IMO was Tarrey Town
Excellent video!
I never connected the colors of the games!
Also super cool detail about the rain in BotW!
Thank You!!! I’m an artist and I saw this color pattern with RGB for screens and the CMYK for printing so I thought maybe there was something there 😂
@@naydinfar I think you're right! It definitely adds up and you presented it all so well!
