A fine Longines Heritage Military reference L2.819.4.93.2 in stainless steel. A 1940’s reissue of Longines’ enduring association to the realm of aviation brought this model, current in today’s catalogue of the Longines Heritage collection with US. Retail of $2425. Longines describes this dial color as silver, although it appears to be more beige with faint splattering of dots, bearing a patina-like impression of its vintage predecessor. The painted Arabic numerals and railroad ring for the minutes, typical of military pieces of its time. Wears handsomely on the wrist, and may be rotated with a Velle Alexander custom strap or military green nato-style strap, apropos to its theme.
