Why do some letters have harakaat, and some don't? Like at 18:49 on the ه in the word gifts? Do you have an earlier video / videos that explains why?
Hi. Do you mean لِلْهَدايا ?I will add all of them next time. Ideally you should try not to be too dependent on harakaat, so not every letter should have a vowel, as at this stage you have to start working on developing readng skills with less dependency on diacritics, trying to deduce from the text, allowing you access to more advanced material. In real life, natives don't use any, and social media posts or newspapers etc don't have any. I hope the audio/my reading can help in this video. For example if I'm speaking about colors and I type أحمر , you would probably know this is aHmar (red), without the need to vowel every letter. Let me know if this was helpful.
