Thank you so much for showing this mod out. This goes straight into the base QoL pack. I didn't like to helixien - adding brand new resource with identical usage to electricity just because of immunity to solar flare (which is useful only to couple of appliances), but chemfuel is already in the game, so it's just perfect.
Interesting mechanics. I wonder if some mods were accidentally dropped from my list, would it fit in there? The real contestant is River Energy, which already in. Going thru this playlist for ideas and final changes, thank you for this collection. -TSDR- For example if I knew that Ancients +Vaults are Eternal is enough for outrageous high tech, then I won't need Sparkling Worlds Full. Altough their own faction (mayhap Blue Moon?) is cool, but my tribals got real good equipment by installing a looping corridor with tribal wooden spikes, and doors for us. Got some into custody, practicing medicine on them, interrogated them for their science, converted them to venerate mages like us, then let them loose naked for a temporal relations boost with their factions. Now ransom is an option, too. It's good to be nice with our attackers. I love mods. :3
What do you think about mods like Go Explore or Caravan Adventure? I think they're like quest mods but I don't know if the content is enough for an episode. Still, I think it's that Caravan adventure mod. That first quest throwing my pawn with a short bow into a massive slaughterfest between a powerful faction against mechanoid hive raid is super super fun.
Hey Fawx, can you do a mod rundown on VE Ancients Expanded and VE Ideology Expanded? For the former, I am mainly curious about the differences between Anicent's and Biotech's gene modding system and a guide to survive in the Ancient starting scenario. For the latter, I want to see a rundown on what content Ideology Expanded adds or changes.
Will you showcase VCE - Unofficial Expansion too? It also adds more functionality to Chemfuel Expanded, but it can feel a bit cheaty depending on who you ask
You're right about the gas turbine being op. 12 components + steel for 6k power. What do you think is a more reasonable power per component cost ? I'm thinking it should be adv components like the advanced steam generator also
The Advanced Geothermal from VE Furniture - Power is 300 steel, 6 advanced for 5200w. Which is even more limited than the gas as you have less steam vents to use on the map. It either needs to have it's cost massively upped, or, it needs to consume all of the gas for a single turbine to churn out that level of power, basically converting a gas geyser into a steam one with a bit more work.
The entire geyser gas usage is a good idea for the gas turbine. I had my wires crossed before , it's chem fuel turbine that's 6k for 8 comp 200 steel @ 90 fuel. the gas turbine like your vid points out is crazy OP though I don't have gas installed on my modlist. Even the chem fuel turbine needs a bit of a cost tweak to balance the highly efficient fuel/watt ratio
Hopefully someone between this and Vanilla Chemfuel Expanded Unofficial Expansion blinks and we stop having a game of chicken between both of them adding Neutroamine & Hyperthreaad from Deepchem
There used to be separate mods to fix compatibility between the pipelines but I've not messed around with it in 1.5 yet. So going by history, not without another mod to allow it
The botched text 13:02 seems to be because of Vanilla Cooking Expanded, since I'm getting the same botched text without Appliances Expanded too. Just saying that it's probably not because of this mod.
If I run just VE Cooking Expanded it has working text for me, if I add on Appliances Expanded, the VE stuff still works perfectly, its just broken references on the Appliances Expanded side. Which means it'll fall on Scorpio to update the mod accordingly. The VE team don't fix compatibility for other peoples work.
@@MysteriousFawx I see. It seems that VE peeps must have fixed theirs then recently, since I was getting the same jumbled text 2 weeks ago (I didn't use VE cooking since)
