When I was younger I downloaded cry of fear for free on steam. Played the first level and shit my pants never touched it ever again. Recently I picked it back up and it’s probably the best horror game I’ve ever played.
I picked up Lost Planet used for 360 just looking at the box in my local game store back in the day and felt like I found a hidden gem. Same with Alan Wake.
I've randomly thought about might and magic on and off ever since I too played the demo god knows how many times haha. Forgot the name of it for years until now. Also homefront was a lot of fun back when it first came out, but it just wasn't balanced enough to comepte with the big boy fps games
That makes sense about Homefront not being balanced - now that you mention it I'm pretty sure that was the reason my friends gave for why it wasn't as good as Halo Reach and Call of Duty Black Ops
I may be wrong but I believe you needed to buy a 800microsoft point pass to play the multiplayer(on the 360 anyway). It’s one of the reasons I don’t think it took of like it should have because I thought the multiplayer was fantastic.
Wow, that is crazy! sounds like the whole multiplayer mode was a.. DLC? or Microtransaction? either way, terrible choice by the people running that studio at the time
@@enterthearcadeyeah it was in the store like any other DLC but one code came with the disc, it was basically just a way of trying to get money out of people who bought a copy pre-owned. If I went and bought a copy off eBay I’d still have to pay THQ a sum to get access to the online mode essentially a double sale. It was a short lived practice back in the day most notably EA tried pushing it, no surprise there.
Ah yes, The Adventures of Sareth And His Magical Spring-Loaded Neck Boot. Truly one of Arkane's best
i saw dark messiah in the thumbnail and had to click, one of my favorite games ever!
Such a good game, and waaay ahead of the curve at the time

Section 8 doesn't sound familiar at all, but now I'm interested!!
I used to be super ranked in section 8 prejudice. Shame timegate is finished.

@JoeSkeen that's so awesome! I just picked up Alan Wake on a sale and I'm so excited to try it out
@@enterthearcade Honestly the gameplay wasn't the best even back then. The story and vibes are awesome though, especially if you're into Twin Peaks.
@@JoeSkeen I LOVE twin peaks!!
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, but also Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, and finally maybe Dark Messiah of Might and Magic?
But also you can't top Dark Messiah of Might and Magic!
Prey, Wasteland 3, and Heroes of Might and Magic 5.5 would be 3 of mine
I have not played any of these, but all look fantastic!
I enjoyed homefront it has amazing story + gameplay was amazing
Agreed, the story for me was so good it could have been an Amazon Prime show!
