so happy to see them Eunha is like a cutie pie. I believe that she is the perfect representation of the idea that people have about idols in general. she's pretty, cute af, kind, she looks innocent etc.... and EUMJI is the idol who has had the biggest transformation for me since these beginnings. she is at the peak of her beauty. the song is also their best since their re-debut as VIVIZ. This is not yet at the level of their best song when it was GFRIEND but a very good title nonetheless.
I liked how you interpret the music video! Its funny how both Umji and Sinb both act out their emotions physically when it came to the ‘decisive’ moment. (Umji throwing the briefcase, Sinb trashing her guitar). While Eunha just smiles lovably, like the happy little softie she is.
I completely agree with you that visually VIVIZ have reached a new pinnacle of beauty in this video. SinB was breathtakingly beautiful and Umji’s look in the car was fantastic. Eunha always has been totally stunning and cannot be improved I thought but blonde Eunha even surpassed her old self. I am open mouthed every time I watch this video and I cannot get the song out of my head either. A great comeback and probably my favourite too out of all they have done.
Untie from this album has me in an absolute chokehold. I have a friend who just recently went to Korea and he just happened to run into Viviz out on the street. To say that I'm jealous of him would be a massive understatement I know you don't take requests but this is at least tangentially related: Yuju, another former Gfriend member recently released a new song called Dalala. I think you would also like that one :)
5:00 living in a moment, bloody truth~ 🎶 this bridge was just so good. Thanks for the reaction! Considering you never react to gfriend, i really hope oneday u get to react to them, the OT6 :)
It is so appropriate when you talked about chandeliers and representing light as the last Japanese release of GFriend was Fallin Light which uses glass and crystals throughout the video as heavy symbolism for light just as you suggested. A fabulous song and video so unappreciated and unknown to most people sadly. But VIVIZ still have these memories so can add creative input wherever they feel appropriate. Maybe that happened here.
Thank you for discussing the storyline of the video and helping me interpret it. I have been struggling because Umji’s said pre release that she got more emotional singing this song than her other comebacks but I couldn’t see why. I felt bad because she said fans would understand but I didn’t still. At last I finally see the light. The break up of the band represents the forced disbandment of GFriend by their company and the guitar smashing reflects their anger and frustration at the end of their musical careers or so they thought. Then being reunited again shows them happier than ever as they continue their musical journey together. Firstly as VIVIZ as now, but perhaps also as GFriend next year as I have an overpowering feeling that they will be reuniting soon seeing how the public interactions of all 6 members is increasing in intensity and we see Sowon and Yuju dancing again. Also I get Navillera, Crossroads and Apple vibes from this video whilst Yerin and Yuju both had serious Mago undertones to their latest comebacks maybe to remind everyone of who they once were before we get the big announcement, possibly next year.
Since I now noticed that they seem to sing something different in the last chorus, I looked up the lyrics and turnd out I was right. In the first choruses they sing "But I can't killin' it, kilin' it, killin' it" (weird English), but in the last chorus they sing "And I'm okay with it, okay with it, okay with it". Pretty interesting.
They just dropped the performance MV for their beside" UNTIE "the choreo is incredible and the song itself is so different from what they have done as viviz or GFriend
2:28 funny enough the entire lore from their Gfriend era is all about them meeting at the crossroads

VIVIZ ! Maniac was one of my best songs of them. UNTIE (b-side) is good too. Check it !
