In this video, I was called for a simple roadside tow, and turned into a recovery, when I arrived and found the truck in a ditch!
Unfortunately, the driver sustained serious injuries during a failed recovery attempt, and needed medical attention!

Hey brother! I haven't been able to watch in a while. Eye problems. Remember me? A scenario that happened sometimes weather the customer or dispatch. Get to a call in a flatbed or roll back. I've said both and find out the customers vehicle is in a parking garage or a parking deck type. Saved a few by walking into the parking garage with my small tool bag and a jump box. Didn't matter to me just wanted to serve the customer. With AAA a tow was a T6 call and any form of roadside assistance was a T9. If I made a T6 into a T9 I was back available to help more. Be safe brother! 🙏

I’ve had some similar calls where you can help the customer but don’t need to tow them. Made quite a few good customers by doing such.

If you can’t recover your vehicle with them then you can use them to take a nap and wait for the tow truck. 😂

Boy it’s dark out there. You’re very good at this. I didn’t know about tonto covers lifting when towed backwards. That’s good to know. It makes good sense though. Smiled at the bed sheets. What else have you seen used to try to pull vehicles out of bad places?
I’ve seen some sketchy stuff used to pull vehicles out lol bailing wire and ratchet straps are common lol
I all ways have jumper cables, tow and recovery straps in my truck all times

I got a bunch of wrecks off that storm we had yesterday! We’re seeing weather patterns I have seen in 20 years. I fear hurricane season is going to be rough!

Bed sheets: the rated strength of a bedsheet can not be determined because the important info of the equation are missing. Is the bedsheet 100% cotton? Is the bedsheet flannel or silk? Does the bedsheet have a floral print design or a solid color? If a solid color is it white, blue, green or sexy red.
im surprised the air bags didnt deploy
The bumper didn’t hit. It high centered. Which probably saved them from a lot more damage!

I had vehicle nosed in ditch like that no air bags blown but when I turned key on to put in neutral the bags blew knock the mess out of me.
Yeah I’m always worried about that when I see the airbags aren’t deployed. This one, the bumper never hit so I’m guessing the air bag sensors weren’t triggered.
