Im beginner lash tech. I feel for some reason everyone I get has had super curly lashes or lashes that criss cross or lean. I have a client who has super curly lashes to the point I cant even see the base. Trying to apply classic lashes was difficult. Can I apply flat lashes underneath or should I use classic lashes to apply underneath?

SUCH a great question!! ❤ Yes you can absolutely apply flat's and classic lashes underneath or on top of the natural lash :) Although I will say when it comes to side placement, I would stick to classics. Reason why is because if we applied flats on the side of the natural lash, the flat cross section will hang over the side of the natural lash which can cause discomfort and possibly poor retention. Whereas with classics, since the base is circular, it will easily suction to the side of the natural lash! Hope this helps and answers your question ❤

Hey) I was wondering how long of an extension can I use on clients? I was taught 2-3 mm longer than the natural lash but I see everyone makes them a lot longer than that… if you can please clarify. Thank you!

Great question. As long as you choose a diameter / dimension that the natural lash can handle well, weight wise, you can absolutely use any length! I’ve done sets of lashes that are up to 25mm long and just kept my diameter and dimension low and the natural lash health has been perfect 🤩

When mixing flat with classic lashes, to achieve a darker lash line, should I use flat lashes for the bottom layers or the top?

Great question! By mixing flats in with Classics throughout the whole set you should already achieve a darker appearance, but for consistency purposes I would say applying flats to the bottom layer will give a more uniform darkness to the lash line! ❤

Can you use flat lashes for the entirety of a classic set? Or do you need to mix in regular classic lashes?
