Legend of Legaia #51 - Songi's Last Stand

Alright, there's one giant genesis tree to save from a rogue Sim-Seru. What better way to do that than to kill the source of said evil, Songi.
Oh, and his reason for doing all this? Power so he can usurp Cort to be supreme ruler of the planet. Somehow, I'm not surprised!
All things considered though, Songi is vicious as hell in this final battle with him. He's got a single target skill in Chaos Flare and an AoE in Genocidal Cannon, the former hitting for 1500 or so while the latter can potentially go as high as 1800+.
However, it's his normal attacks that necessitate me needing the hp boosters & Defender Chains. Even with all this gear, it's very possible for Songi to take someone from full to dead if you don't block anything, but there's one small upside. Songi's normal attack chains gets less combo heavy as his hp drops. Whereas he might have a 4-5 hit combo at the start, it'll go down to like 1-2 hits later in the fight.
Still, this is a fight that can take you by surprise (Almost did for me when that one Genocidal Cannon felt like doing 1800+ to everyone and nearly putting me in game over land). Just keep up the heavy healing and eke out attacks when possible and you'll emerge victorious.
After the brawl, Songi's Seru separates from his body. Congrats, he gets to return to nothingness. However, our heroes nearly run into the same fate as the great genesis tree continues to wilt and die, but a last spark of hope appears in the form of the three Haris. They have such high hopes for the heroes that they give themselves up to grant one last burst of energy to the tree. Say hello to a level up for all our Ra-Seru buddies.
At this point, the team gets whisked out of the area and back to a familiar spot, Mt. Rikuroa. There's nothing left to really do except return to Rim Elm, break the seal on the final dungeon, and go give Juggernaut a fierce beatdown.
However, there's several small things left to do. Muscle Dome battles, an optional boss fight, and more. We'll start cracking down on this stuff next time.
