I am running out of waxed dirt and your video is just what I needed. Both the peat moss/anit freeze and set type options. For antifreeze, could you use calcium chloride such as used in winter concrete, masonry mix etc? This comes in large bags from construction supply companies at a reasonable price. Dow Flake calcium chloride is locally for sale at my local home hardware. Great video by the way. This should help with the sets I will make in frozen ground this week.
Flake calcium chloride is what James is using is this video. We aren't familiar with the concrete mixture products. Hope this helps!

What are some things you can use as an antifreeze in your dirt
You can use a flake antifreeze (as James was using in this video with peat moss) which are available at most trapping supply dealers. You can also use non salt ice melt products which are available at all hardware stores. Lastly you can collect fresh, dry dirt through the year and use that as well.

I didn't see you use a pan cover? You don't use them or did you forget to install?
No pan cover just peat moss to stop freezing and prevent anything from getting under the pan.

How much antifreeze are you using per pounds of peat moss?
About 50/50. Maybe 60/40 in favor of the moss
You have chosen to keep your antifreeze secret and not share it with anyone else I thought that the information you were sharing was for and to share with other people however you are not telling anyone what you were using for an air freeze so what good is your video
