Honestly, I was upset you guys went out of print but I really hope you kickstart your UA-cam channel, as, sadly, automotive channels have taken over. I love you guys.
While I would agree regarding the lines of these cars in stock form, there has always been and always will be people that want to make their cars "their own" so to speak. As far as your comment on the "weirdo" bodykits are concerned, well I'm an old fart but even I realize that these kits are reflective of the era that these cars exist within. Personally, I will always keep my S2K in stock form. But as a live and let live kind of guy who would hope that I might be respected for my choice, I try to empathize with these young guys as best I can. For one thing, I certainly can't fault them for their car of choice. For another, while these mods aren't to my taste, looking over their cars as presented it is obvious that a lot of time, money and effort were poured into them. They appear to be well cared for and the pride of ownership that these guys feel for their cars is palpable. At the end of the day, I try to keep in mind that despite our differences, we are all basically "car guys" at heart - an increasingly rare bread in the world today.
I have never driven Angeles Crest. It seems like a fun drive. I see a lot of green trees there. Did you guys start in La Canada and go all the way to Wrightwood?
To think that Subaru and Toyota could have made a gem 💎 of a motor in the BRZ/86 but they chose to make a flaccid 2 liter instead. People are buying S2ks, cars from 15 years ago because there aren’t better alternatives for the money
I know it's a shame. Toyota engineers could have put a zippy high revving 4 banger in there. But no u get stuck with this slow fart can. The 86 is one of the most beautiful chassis around... i use to own a 6mt g35 coupe and i want a similar little japanese rwd platform in the future.
I love how hector has the most tracky track car, with numbers and aero, probably hangs with all the SoCal VTEC Club guys, but doesn’t actually fucking drive lol why not just do it for real
