I just realize my flight for tomorrow KUL to SYD had changed from A330 to A380 and yet the cabin is 80% full! It's amazing to see Malaysia Airlines recover from tragedy.
Malaysians need to unite and support each other in times of tragedy. I've been flying with them for more than 30 years (since I was a baby haha) and I know their service. People who don't really fly with them will use the the two incidents to blame on the people who aren't at fault in the first place. We who are frequent flyers with Malaysia Airlines know them best. Keep on supporting MAS everyone!
Great video! I remember flying on MAS' A380 for the first time from KUL - CDG for a group trip. Had a great time, smooth flight, excellent service.. I believe it was months before they cut the Paris route off.

I did notice on a landing that perhaps the inside 2 engines only were deployed with reverse thrust. I suppose it makes a very 'gentle' landing, and the considerable power available in each engine...
Anyone aware of the "TABUNG HAJI" decal on the A380? Let me explain. This plane is used by Tabung Haji, an agency in Malaysia who manages the Hajj pilgrimates and the whole Hajj process, to carry Hajj Pilgrimates from Malaysia to Saudi Arabia, then Mecca, there. (P/S : Since I'm a Malaysian and Muslim, I'm up to explain this)
Another Great Sydney Special! :) Malaysian A380s are rare. They now only fly to London but will soon be replaced by A350s. Let’s hope there’s a Canberra Special when Qatar Airways launches their maiden flight there.
Syed Hoque actually last time ive been at the airport, which is a few days ago, the A380s still go on the London Route with the A350s.So that must’ve meant that they didnt get replaced then. :)

Absolutely amazing again mate! These A380's look beautiful in Malaysia's livery and it will be sad once their gone. I know the first location was the roof of the Rydges (unfortunately it wasn't open when I was there even though I had the expensive Plane Spotters package when I stayed there) but what is the second location? My best guess would be the control tower. Big like!!

I have since 1954 flown on BOAC, BEA, British Airways,Qantas, KLM,Aeroflot, Japan airline, Korean, Cathay Pacific, Scandinavian, South African, Swissair, Lufthansa, Virgin, Sri Lankan, Air India, Pakistan, Emirates ,Dragon Air, PanAm, Delta and a few other American Airlines, Thai Air, Turkish Air, Garuda, SIA , etc I have never once had an anxious moment with takeoffs and landings on Malaysian. I am Malaysian and naturally biased.

MAS hit rock bottoms few years ago. One flight went missing untraceable and one shot down. But MAS is recovering.
They are retiring the entire A380 fleet in March 2018. Replacing the routes with either A350s and/or B787s.
Mostly they will keep it, as the pilgrimage to Mekah season that's the peak of this big bird usage and the off season pilgrimage too
I just purchased this in 1:200, JC Wings, and went looking for some video of when he was still flying.

Didn't know that the carparks offer this great views. Back in June I only spotted from the end of Swamp Rd.
