Holmes. Holmes became most infamous for building the Murder Castle in Chicago during the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair. Joining us on this adventure is Jeff Mudgett, author, researcher, History Channel host, and the great great grandson of H.H. Holmes. The mom of a grade school friend of mine was tracing her family tree. Friend's mom's mother's name before her marriage was Mudge. But come to find out, the family had changed the name to that from Mudgett. Then she discovered that Herman Webster Mudgett is a cousin of degree. Friend's Mom said, "I knew my family is crazy, but I didn't think they were *THAT* crazy.
