- Welcome to the viewing of our first Winter Student Showcase reel! The neat thing about this showcase reel is that it highlights work from all classes at Animation Mentor (classes 1 -- 6). You are among the first to see highlights from some of the amazing short films our students have worked so hard on as well as some fresh takes on acting scenes. All the animation herein is done by students. They do not work on projects in groups so each piece represents a lot of hard work and dedication from each student and the result is something that they can and should be very proud of.

#tbt Taking a ride on the wayback machine all the way to 2007! Whew, time flies when you're having fun animating!
I just got accepted into the winter program....soooo excited!
This is amazing work! They're only students too!
Good work to all the students. Great quality stuff.
We use Autodesk's Maya as our animation software.
animation mentor is just awesome hose r prettyy good animations
this is a very good online program i guess the best to learn animation
Art institute, Vancouver film school, animation mentor have great teachers, but lack one vital ingrediant. All the animations use the same characters with very similar expressions from every student. I think if anyone is going to pay a huge amount of money, they should atleast allow & encourage the students to develope and explore their own creativity with their projects as they are given the tools to work with. That would be worth the money then!
what movie did the Gun one come from?
great stuff guys.; and entertaining!
2:05 to 2:14 WOOOOOOOOW !!
I to would very much like to know what the name of that first song (not the intro), but the one with the bassoon and flute.
People from all over the world and they all end up creating characters that look exactly the same! What are the chances of that?!
My Baloney has a first name, it's O-S-C-A-R
most of the music is made by
Carlos Baena, including the first song
Me too!
Whats the name of the song in the begining ..love that style ??????????
hey why don't you edit that thing that's round with 2 legs and make it into that big walking robot with only 2 legs from starwars?
currently in vancoucer film school.
I have to build your own model and rig for my animations. for the beginner classwork stuff, yeah, you use a standard faceless model, but that's because you're learning the basics of animation and modeling at the same time. if they didn't supply you with a model, you'd have to wait afew terms in before you can even start animating.
its Are you gonna be my girl by Jet
wait so the classes are called animation mentor and software is auto desk maya umm how much for classes and software?
same here!!!
Saving up money for this so I can pay it in full. Currently I'm going to take Animation at Cleveland Institute of Art, but I think I'd get a better education with Animation Mentor, so I don't have to take a bunch of liberal art classes I don't need.
4:43 Chuck Norris doesn't drive, the car just goes!
@julianrulz022 Hey Julian, you can visit our site, at animationmentor (dot) (com) to find out our tuition information!
awesome :)
1:39 is rat race audio, right?
And the scene at 3:01 is from "Van Wilder"....god i wanna see more of this xD so funny :P
So who ever made the model had to post it to the people in all those countries?! Wow, that must have cost a fortune in stamps!
omg so funny xD..and hey was i the only one who noticed that the voices are from movies?...the balogny clip for example is from "bad boys"
extremely entertaining
its from the movie bad boys 1 xDDDD 3:28
2:27is the best :D
Inspiring
Autodesk Maya, and no, this is high end training with high end software
Man...good job AM...just don't steal all the jobs from the rest of us! ;)
u have to be both
Buddy, if you had any clue the amount of time that goes into modeling, rigging, and texturing your own "creative" character, you'd think twice about your statement. This is a demo reel for ANIMATION. And besides, their more advanced classes DO encourage them to use their own creativity on projects. I go to CU Denver and I WISH we had a generic usable character rig like animation Mentor!
how bout a pickle?
how gud are u at maya?
its from the movie of bad boys 1 xDDDDD
sounds like jazz xD
i suppose...
howbout a pickle lol
